Hey guys, two reviews under my belt and this is my first forum post! :o

Obviously I'm doing my job (har har) and playing Guild Wars: Factions to death at the moment, and enjoying every minute of it I must say. Well apart from the minutes spent trying to do the quests that are just too hard! Those are few and far between fortunately. And of course I continue to play loads of CS. I've been getting back into Oblivion, as well though.

Still playing Oblivion on PC, 120 hours in and still plenty to do and now sign of me loosing interest yet.
The mods are starting to come thick and fast now. Not only are there many new quests, houses, islands, tree top villages, weapons, armour and gameplay tweaks to install, there is now a pilotable Pirate Ship, so you can sail around in a change from horse or walking.

I can not remeber the last game that I have played this much.
I normally loose interest after a week or so and want something new, but not with this one.

I'm also still playing Oblivion, got the patch and the 4 official mods so far. Made a new char, female dark elf. she's sexy ;) shes 100% mage and sworn never to use a blade so things are fun.

also playing Topspin 2, 4 player CoD2 and I got Table Tennis, though I'd check it out and take it back the next day to swap for something else.. dammit i'm hooked on it :)

Simple yet so much fun.

Oh and on the PC i'm still playing GP4 and WoW, with the odd game of X3 thrown in.

San Andreas

Being sans 360 forced me into dusting off the PS2 again, and SA is still an enormously impressive title. Even after the graphical splendour of Kameo, CoD2, GRAW, Condemned, PGR3 and Oblivion I'm blown away by the sheer scope of Rockstar's effort. Sure, there's some seriously ugly graphical issues here and there, but we *know* that that's simply down to the PS2 and not lazy-ass programming.

Was only messing around as all the missions are done, but taking my Harrier from my airbase and recklessly crashing it into the middle of a busy freeway is a joy that I was more than happy to revisit. Oh, and I think that GTA's day/night cycle is still the best out there (yup - better than Oblivion's), and there really is quite a lot of physics going on in SA too.

Please, Rockstar - add stuff to GTA IV, but don't strip away ANY of the shit that's been built up over the years to finally appear in SA.

Ooops - this should really be in the GTA IV thread

I can't stop playing Battlefield 2. Thanks to the glory of 8 meg broadband I now host my own server for a couple of mates to have a bit of a Top Gun academy on.

Finally gotten around to tackling FEAR. I never bought it when it first came out because my old PC was a heap of junk, but with my shiny new one up and running I managed to get the game on the cheap (dvd.co.uk folks. They take a feckin' age, but the prices are great) It's the directors edition too, so I can finally watch the complete series of PANICS.

The game is an absolute blast. While I've found that things like the enemy A.I. aren't exactly all that they were hyped up to be the slo-mo gunfights punctuated by the occasional Norris-style roundhouse kick make for excellent entertainment. Enemies are tough nuts, and the guns all lack real oomph, but so far I'm loving this game.

Also, played Coffee Break for the purposes of review. That is the only circumstance in which anyone should have to play it. * shudders *

I had both BFV and BF2 but got bored of BF2 very quickly-it didn't have the character that 1942 and Vietnam had, and being an infantryman getting cut down for the tenth time by the tank camping your spawn point is seriously crap.

Need something like R6: Raven Shield back again-that was my first full-time online experience, and i played that baby to death!

Since i've not got much else to do, im spanning a few oldies and one newie at the moment:

Getting to grips with FFXI, which is a right pain in the ass to start with (killing bees and bunny-rabbits, yawn...) but is starting to get better, slowly...

Also about to restart FFVIII, which i feel is a greatly underappreciated game (4 discs dammit!), and i love the characters in this almost as much as FFVII-it's like Empire vs. Jedi all over again!

Also started the Ace Combat 5 campaign again, for about the fifth or so time through. I really love this game, it's better than any of the naff that's around lately, like that bloody blazing angels game!

Finally reached Level 20 in Guild Wars after absolutely months, with my fearsome Warrior/Elementalist. Still forging on with Oblivion (desperate to complete the main quest to rid the world of those awful gates) and I'm thinking of going through some of Hitman: Blood Money again.

Playing Halo 2 single player again whilst I await the return of the Beige Beast. Quite enjoying it, actually. In between getting interrupted by plumbers, that is

I admit there have been some games of BF2 that have frustrated, but lately i've been making full use of my 8meg line and hosting my own games for a few mates so we can have a dogfight, or chopper duels and the like.

I've spent more time modding Oblivion than playing it of late. Really do need finish that quest. I'm about 90 hours in and still have not visited Leyawiin. That game is so big it makes my head hurt.

Also discovered Total Annhilation: Spring. Oh my I love it. It's B-E-A-utiful.

I'm going to review Tony Hawks - American Wasteland tonight as well. I can't put it off any longer :D

Been replaying Half-Life 2 on the X-Box again. Still a quality game even if the new Live update does render it unplayable on the 60hz setting.

Everything about the game impresses me and I'm still hoping Valve do the right thing and bring a 360 version out along with the episodes. :) I can dream.

Oh yeah also been dabbling with the Pinball emulator I mentioned on the other thread. The Indiana Jones table is brilliant.

Exit (PSP)

Just got this on a recommendation and it's a lovely little game. It's like a cross between SOS - The Final Escape and The Lost Vikings. Unlike TLV, you only control one character directly, but you have indirect control over other characters who have different abilities, and you use them to help you escape from the levels and rescue all the other characters. Each level is part of a building, and you have to work your way round all the obstacles, while rescuing all the other characters and leading them to the exit. Graphically, it uses a 2D comic book style which is reminiscent of Killer 7.

There are 100 levels on the disc, but you can download more over wi-fi.

Best of all, it's only £11.99 at Play.com. At that price, it's definitely worth a punt.

Recently picked up Hitman BM and Far Cry for under £45 (for both)

tbh I'm not a hitman fan and didn't like the two I tried, yet this one is bloody awesome, its so much fun. excellent game :)

FFXI (yes I know, I'm sorry) and Liberty City Stories, which is just wonderful tonic after a parade of other PS2, Xbox and 360 ineptness and outright dross. It's still got a lot of the problems that GTA III had (it's a sort of half-Vice City upgrade gameplay-wise) but it's great to be back in, what for me, was the best GTA setting of all. It does seem kind of pokey after the wild open spaces of San Andreas though, and they should have put copters in.
