I got bored very quickly with this one. So much potential as well, could have been a really good game. I've already ranted about it in this thread so my review pretty much sums up my opinion. |

More than one part, actually; the bits where you've got fuck all ammo/health, you snuff it, then you restart with seemingly less of both ammo/health and then repeat to fade. I musta done the bit in the giant doughnutty-chamber with the three Hydra heads monster thing spitting fireballs at me about 15 fucking times....oh and then there was another bit where I had to fire space rock into that stream of energy - that took forever, then there was a bit where you manned the space cannons....tedious. And they're just the ones I rememeber. |

The space cannons bit was one of the wankiest bits for me. Felt like a mini-game of 3D asteroids, but shit and really annoying. Nothing to do with the rest of the game at all. |

Weird, i admit there were times i was low on ammo but not bad enough to make me play parts over and over. Didnt seem to have any problems getting past sections of the game. |

Yup - it's one of those weird, gaming-only moments that happens from time to time where one person can struggle like fuck and yet another person can breeze through it; I remember this happening with a lot of the missions in GTA: VC and GTA: SA, where I'd zoomed through a mission with no probs and yet some people had tried em over and over again. I think it was one of the bike missions in GTA:SA where you had to ride through tunnels and shit whilst having a shootout..... EDIT: Gave up playing MGS4 - the cut scenes just got too cumbersome. It got so that, at 9.20pm I'd decided to call it a day and play Fallout 3 for a bit, and at 9.50pm I was STILL waiting for the whole Cutscene/brief playtime x 5 cycle to finish (no saving throughout). I tells ya: MGS4 was a game designed for single people who could literally dedicate hours at a time, uninterrupted to it. Edited by Juz, May 18 2009, 02:30 PM.

In a moment of madness I bought this and have mostly been playing these ![]() ![]() The grey brick has seen a lot more action than my 360 has recently. I think I might be ill! |

Retro mainia! I'm playing Silent Hill: Homecoming at the moment in lieu of anything else out there floating my boat! Having jut finished the mighty Dead Space (I'm standing by it ha ha) and RE5, this is really quite poor. But it's passign the time. I have never played a game with so many doors you can't open - really the worst level design ever, it really is on rails! Great lighting effects ect, but zero scares. It's about as scary as Peppa Pig. |

I've been following the progress of Uncharted 2 with a lot of interest (it looks fabulous), so much so that I've gone back to the original. I'm not sure exactly how much time has passed since it first launched, but IMO it's still the best looking game of this generation. The cut scenes are a joy to watch and blend in beautifully with the gameplay. It's never anything other than exciting and engaging, just a great all-round package. The fact it can be picked up for less than £20 is great value. |

Yeah, it's a corking game that's a truly enjoyable experience to boot; the cutscenes are flippin brill. Anyhoo - I've been playing: Infamous This is as good as I expected - got the LE version as I had a credit note to use. COD - World At War Love Film comes through again. Man - it's so easy to forget that the COD games are just THE best at making your heart rate go through the roof, but, being a Treyarch effort there's plenty of getting stuck behind scenery/a blade of grass/an NPC. Fucking exciting though and looks fucking astonishing. |

Having finally got fed up with Killzone 2, I've been getting stuck into Mass Effect (finally). It's just not grabbing me like I thought it would, though. It doesn't help that the voice acting is so flat. Compared to the last RPG I played (Lost Odyssey), it's just been dull so far. |

I dunno. At first I loved it because of the graphics and the sense of scale but once the novelty of them wore off, it became just another shooter with stock "American marine" characters, identikit enemies and brown backgrounds. I got fairly near the end, but just can't be bothered to finish it. |

That's exactly what happened with me and Resistance 2 - man, was that game B-L-A-N-D. Oh well, I'll see for myself if it ever arrives from Love Film. |
