Further update when I just turned on the 360 resulted in freezing/red rings of death etc. etc. Seems fine now, but I'd already phoned MS to tell em and they're gonna repair/swap it now. Luckily, I've got another toy (see rant thread) to keep me occupied whilst it's away. |

The other small update this week was for the Chinese version of the dashboard, so now your Chinese dashboard is fixed too! |

You can already - just press eject instead of the power button to turn on the 360. |

There already was a setting to allow you to always boot to menus rather than the disc in the drive (as of the last firmware update). I always use the (X) button on the controller to switch on the console. |

I have had my 360 on boot to dash since the last update. And dunk, no, I think it's only .wmv files. Other formats will require media center (although people are well along producing a program for xp to do the same thing). |

Thats ok - the only thing I would like is to be able to keep divx files on main PC and play them in another room on the 360 Could get rid of my HCPC then |

Can't believe they didn't include divx/xvid streaming - what twonks. WMV's are shite. I wanted to be able to stream my Lost episodes rather than have to keep burning them first. |

I have mine on my HCPC but its just such a pain to have to turn on - boot up and transfer files to - would be great to just stream them from my main PC May try MCE on my main PC and then try Transcode doubt it will work well over wireless though |
