It would be far better if it read and told you what game was in the drive (from the dashboard) instead of just "Play Game" or whatever it says.

About the Auto Downloads, anyone know if this is just Arcade games or includes videos and game demos?

Zed you are so right!

I've lost count of how many times I've selected 'play game' and the wrong damn game is in.. ok my memory sucks but even so, how hard would it be to change 'play game' to 'play xxxxx' :/

It seems the update, in addition to destroying some consoles, has also caused awful tearing when playing Dead Rising in VGA.

Good one, MS!

What resolution are you playing in? Lots of games have heavy tearing issues (including DR) if you're using an unusual res. Stick to 1280x720 where possible.

I haven't actually tried DR since the update - I'm just reporting what I've read on other forums. Lots of people have found DR unplayable since the update, but it seems the issue is isolated to VGA connections. Thankfully, I'm using component with my 360.

I was sorting through the stuff on my 360's HDD yesterday, and I came across 3 promos for sports videos that I didn't (and wouldn't) download.

Has one of the updates enabled content to be downloaded without the user's consent? I'll be fucking angry if it has - the last thing I want is my bandwidth and HDD space clogged up with crap like that!
