I'm also interested in the Orange box because I never really got far in HL2 because I couldn't stand playing it at my desk. Which version are y'all getting? 360 or PS3? |

Cockmonkeys, UT3 and Fable 2 both delayed?! You guys are killing me!
Thats the big question isnt it? Halo 3 might kill any online FPS on the 360 for a while (then again could be a good thing if all the 13 year old yanks are playing it ), whereas TF2 on the PS3 might get much better numbers exactly due to the limited competition (Warhawk, RFoM and R6:V).I'm still undecided, but if the PS3 version is delayed then it will fall into the massive Nov month, whereas a region-free 360 version next week is awfully tempting. If Sony release that rumoured update to integrate the XMB in games, then suddenly the PSN will seem better, and hence a big swing for many online games for me. At the mo its still PS3 = singleplayer 360 = multipass. |

I'm going for the 360 Orange Box simply because I'm an impatient sod. Adored Half-Life 2 on the X-Box (slow down and loading screens didn't put me off) and I played through Episode one on the PC once and loved that too. Again not too fussed about multi-player but I think Portal is an interesting proposition. |

This may be one of the games I have to sacrifice from my wanted list due to lack of funds, seeing as I played Half Life 2 a while ago. (And loved every minute). However, IF I get the game it will probably be the 360 version because- Of the joypad It's a PC port type thingy which suits the 360's coding I have heard rumour that Valve are doing the 360 version and another bunch of coders are doing the PS3 one, so it will probably be shite. On the other hand, said devs may have been employed to specialise on the Cell development so it could be nicely optimised instead of just dumped on there. Plus anything wih decent online (team fortress) I choose PS3 cos of the free element. So, back to square one for me then..... |

I think that this is deffo gonna be a case of waiting for side-by-side comparison reviews. BUT...I'm with you on the whole pad thing: I just don't feel right playing an FPS with the Dualshock. If only there was a really easy way of using the 360 pad on the PS3. |

Looking forward to the Orange Box (360 version as I don't own a PS3). Bought Half-life 2 on my PC but it froze every 10 or so seconds. Obviously this was not annoying in the slightest, especially after it took me about a day to install the slag (probably should have realised at this point that the game was never going to run). Anyhoo, Half-life was one of my favouritst bestest games ever so i'm hoping this installment will not disappoint. I'll probably get the joyous red sphincter lights of death when I load it up but don't worry, I won't start another separate thread about a deceased xbox

It's interesting that so many of us on here had problems with HL2, which means that a shitload of peeps everywhere must've had the same probs and yet it still gets seemingly universally praised. Yes, I know it's getting praised as a game in and of itself, but fuckin hell, it was hardly a problem-free game was it? Looks like I'll get it on XB, or maybe just rent it from Tesco DVD online which I've only just joined. |

I give HL2 an enormous thumbs-up. It has the dubious honour of being my "favourite game of all time". I'll be really interested to see how the 360 handles the loading. I'm hoping they've found a way around pausing the action. |

I have just downloaded the Call Of Duty 4 demo and after playing I would say that it is exactly what I was hoping for ie Call Of Duty 1 or 2 in a modern setting. It has all the usual non stop constant noise and action that you expect from the series. I have now added it to my ever expanding list of games to get. |

After watching the video on PSN, I'm really excited about Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I'm also keeping an eye on Lego Star Wars on Wii because some of the previews have suggested that the Wii-mote will be used as a light saber, complete with v-mmmm sound effect from the controller's speaker. |
