Movement rather than audio - however, I reckon music with some white noise elements is a good idea as it encourages baby to fall asleep even when it's "noisy", ie. not requiring total silence. Babies that can fall asleep anywhere are rather good really. |

Bloke at work was having trouble with his new sprog - just wouldn't sleep sometimes. But then he found that he can get him to nod off by running the shower - obviously the bathroom is within earshot of the cot, so he thought that maybe white noise is the answer. So he quickly found some samples on the net (running water, the sea, wale music etc), burned them, and has been trying them out to see what works when baby is cranky. Do any of them work? Nope... |

Hairdryers and washing machines. Both good for getting babies to sleep. My sprog can falls asleep in a houseful of 3 boys. Could probably doze off in downtown Bagdad. However has a knack of waking up about 5am chatting to herself when the house is completely silent. <_< |

like capcom vs. SNK 2, or perhaps Richard Burns Rally? Sounds a little familiar... quite funny to see you trash only a couple of games which guys mention (think you'll find many have been mentioned inbetween them) and then neglect to list anything you play/want to play in 2007, bit insecure we'll trash your list? |

Forgot about this frigger. Mercenaries on the Xbox was pretty effing ace if you ask me, mainly because it was like GTA but...... actually wasn't. Instead it offered loads of destructible physics, cool explosions and weapon drops and some wicked tanks and choppers to drive. Could be played sensibly or sand box and held up pretty well as both and is the only GTA rip off I have had real time for and spent absolute hours on. Certainly shat all over Just Cause for solid shooty action in a vast landscape. Strangely, Mercenaries II (world in flames) is a PS3 exclusive this gen. For now anyways. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Meaty Mass Effect interview over at IGN. Plenty of info on what they are trying to achieve in the game. Sounds exciting and they are cramming so much in although I have a feeling it wont be as free a galactic jolly as I would like. http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/756/756883p2.html |

Games-wise, I have my eye on Kane & Lynch, Battlestations: Midway, Crysis, STALKER, HL2 Episode 2, Portal, TF2, C&C3, Maelstrom, and a load of others. Oh, and Vista, obviously. And a hugely expensive but worth it upgrade. I foresee my first new CPU and Mobo for about three years, as well as another GPU. |

Yes - at a blistering 7 frames per second. Seriously though - why won't it? Still shots of GoW and PGR3 looked astonishing at the time (and still do, I guess) and they move pretty well don't they? Completely off at a tangent here: Does anyone else read the Retro bit at the end of Games(tm), and then turn back to the rest of the magazine and suddenly feel all overwhelmed at just how damn GOOD pretty much every game looks these days? |

except this month with its Amiga 500 retro section I really wish there was a very, very simple easy and cheap way of play those games (espescially Cineware stuff) on my TV and preferably with joystick Im seriously considering getting a 2nd hand a1200 with HD Must get my CD32 out of attic to - you think im bad now - I purchased that on day it came out and never purchased game for it - just had those that came bundled and stayed with my old 1200 - god knows what ever happened to that |
