I've always regretted selling my Amiga 1200 with HD with all my games to fund the purchase of my first PC (a 486 DX2 66 - cost me £1300), especially as I went off to Russia about 6 months after I bought it and never used it again because it mysteriously died in its box (it was pretty much obsolete by the time I got back anyway)!

Reading Gamestm has made me realise just how many great games there were on the Amiga. I loved Putty and really want to play it again. And Stunt Car Racer.

I too still have my CD32 - I think I might get it out and play Simon the Sorceror CD, with voiceovers by Rimmer from Red Dwarf. Or that excellent top down stock car racer (can't remember the name).

Yeah the Amiga section was fantastic in this months issue.

I've got a A600 boxed up somewhere and all the games to go with it. Putty was one of the games I got with the machine when it was released so I've fond memories of that one, even if I never did manage to finish it.

It was a great time when the Amiga scene was in its prime. So many great games, Monkey Island, Worms, Super Frog, Zool, The Chaos Engine... :D

without sounding rude, but whats the problem with expressing an interest

Why do people assume all of a sudden that just because I have purchased a house and have a mortgage I should be living on bread line and not enjoying self

I dont smoke - I hardley drink - rarely go out clubbing
have no car (or expensive motorbike) and no chance of having as dont drve
dont do drugs and earn (what I belive to be) a damn good wage

in actual fact in 8 weeks we have had the house I find I have more disposable income that before it - was saving more than i put twds mortgage as it was and waste less now

Just found this little nugget due out on the PS3 and most probably 360/PC. Sod knows when but maybe this year seeing as this trailer has been kicking around since May 2006.

Hmmm any game with a working title that includes the words Interstellar and Marines in it has a legally bound duty to be facking ace or else death and torture should be cruelly administered to the developers.

It looks well crisp and metallic and it 'appears' that there is in game FPS footage in there. Anyway there is plenty of full fat cream in my sci fi pants after that.

Looks very much like Black in terms of weapons and explosions.

Ignoring the cheesy voice over guy on the trailer, it definitely could be one to look out for.

The Naughty Dog (of Jak and Daxter fame) PS3 project now has a name.

The somewhat naff Drakes Fortune.

The game kinda looks like slick fun from the trailer though. A bit of a Jungley Tomb raider.
Naughty Dog were quite the PS2 technicians so this could be visually quite special for the new hardware.

How good does the new PS3 Hot Shots golf look?

Thats some serious photo realistic scenery although it looks funny with the contradictory gaylord anime characters standing on it. Be interesting to see how they implement the motion sensing.

Been tracking Lair (PS3) for a while and technically it looks superb.
Done by the Star Wars Rogue Leader guys it's a dragon combat flight game although you can land the beasts and cause ground based mayhem.

It's all on a massive scale and even whole armies of men can apparently be roasted with dragons breath. Got some of the best water effects I have ever seen too. All running at 1080 resolution supposedly.

Whether the game will play smoothly and be any good is another matter but these new pics are stunning..

Frontlines Fuel of War anyone?

Looks like a pretty gorgeous Battlefield cum Call of Duty type shooter but the thing that interests me here is that there are no set missions.

Instead you have continual objectives and positions to take so that as you fail and succeed the frontline of your war effort ebbs and flows. You can choose how and where to infiltrate or attack the lines so as to expand your territory.

Like real war it's all about gaining ground and apparently the maps are enormous. Naturally it will lend itself to slick multiplayer gaming too.

Out on PS3/360/PC so everyone should be in on it.

There's actual gameplay footage of Stuntman: Ignition for the 360 on Gametrailers.

Cannae link, so will try and find it somewhere else.
