Rumour central-

Killzone 2 out for September?

http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News-48016.aspx

I would be willing to put my mortgage on the line and dip my bellend in a vinegar and brine solution if this turns out true. Actually no I wouldn't....

I'd be willing to put your mortgage on the line if Killzone 2 is out before Christmas - this fiscal year maybe, but not 2007.

whats a fiscal ?

Fiscal = Financial

Companies don't always have their fiscal year aligned with the real years - a lot of companies in the UK are aligned with the tax year, which ends 5th April, in which case 'Fiscal Year 2007' is 6th April 2007 - 5th April 2008.

Sony's fiscal year runs to the end of March I think, although I think that may be ambitious for Killzone 2.

Maybe E3 will give us some kind of indication.

Apparently there is a scheduled two and a half hour presentation for Killzone 2 so we will see how far along it looks.

Sony could be gearing themselves up for a big embarrassing fall with this hype fest. But you never know.

I am excited but I sort of get like that. Its my swollen balls....

You're welcome to get excited, it's only natural when it's a big game on your platform of choice.

Cool, now we are getting some concrete info on some of Sony's exclusives for this year.

http://kotaku.com/gaming/final-countdown/e...ates-272900.php

These are the ones I am excited for-

Warhawk: 8 -29
Heavenly Sword: 9 - 12
Lair: 9 -26
Folklore: 10 -10
Eye of Judgment: 10 - 24
Ratchet & Clank: 11 - 7
Time Crisis 4 & GunCon 3: 11 -18
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: 11 - 28

Some tasty stuff there in all different genres. And if this leaves Killzone, MGS 4 and FFXIII for next year then thats a real tasty spread.

I wouldn't get too excited about Warhawk, if I were you. ;)

Why not?

I've heard nothing but good about it.
One of the few online based games I might consider buying.

It is enjoyable (if shallow), but there are a lot of gripes about the controls being overly twitchy. Hopefully these and the other bugs in the beta will be fixed in the final release.

Interesting Meester Bond.

Not played the Beta so thanks for the info. Discovering that sort of stuff is what the Beta is for though I guess.

As always concensus of reviews will dictate if I take the plunge so we shall see.

What controls are you using for the Warhawks? Stick or motion controls? I've heard the same thing said before, but that using motion controls sorted the issue.

Stick. I can't get the hang of motion control on the Sixaxis, so I disable it in all my games.

The Warhawk beta was patchy, but overall i thought it a very good online team-based shooter. It's not a "serious" game for FPS masters to show their skills, too hectic and imprecise, but fun; which IMO is sadly lacking in many games these days.

If they can sort the lobbies, comms, and weapon balance it should be great for mucking about with mates.
