Aru put this up in the releases thread, so I thought I'd give it its own thread. Really looking forward to this, it's looking very pretty, and the car list is lovely - it has a couple of my favourite cars, the 80's Porsche 911 try-the-best-it-can-to-kill-you Turbo and the 959. Would have liked the 935 too though. http://forzamotorsport.net/021507-1.htm |

I may get this. I love racing games, despite being crap at them. I hope this will be a less sterile and soulless version of the Gran Turismo games (and that it won't have any fucking licence tests). |

I am also really looking forward to this game. That list of cars would be good enough for a game on its own, but there are more to come. Good to see that so far they have not gone the easy route of loads of slightly different versions of the same car (Evo's in GT comes to mind) Some of the shops are listing a Special Edition of this game, does anyone know if it is a proper one (with added content) or just a metal box edition. |

Forza 2 could be the donkey's conkers - 60 fps with lovely models and damage modelling...lubley. Not too fussed about customisation - especially the tuning aspect, as it was just bypassed in the first one by downloading other people's (people with more dedication and/or time on their hands) setups. |

Wow, all those cars and only one I'm interested in (the MC12) although I imagine the other lists will cater for my taste. Could be good, I seriously hope they've improved the handling and got rid of that racing line indicator (or at least disabled it for the multiplayer and championships other than the beginners (yes, I know you could set the server up to disallow the racing line but the default was to allow it)). Also, no matter how many people argue the case for damage modelling, I still think its completely pointless unless your car actually loses some sort of performance for the damage a la TOCA. I'd rather my car stay pristine after all that work customising the exterior if it isn't going to affect the way it drives. It's either going to be great or an over-hyped piece of garbage. Time will tell... |

I hope they nail the handling on the faster cars. I always found the fastest cars in PGR3 to be uncontrollable. People bouncing around off the guard rails on Live. It was always more fun (in my opinion), to use the slower cars. Hopefully that will be rectified in this game. |

  Love that post. To the point and saying what most of us were thinking I imagine! Anyhoo, i'm hoping that Forza can supply the same level of enjoyment online that PGR2 did. If it does, me is a happy man indeed. |

Agreed, but dont the manufacturers moan about their prides and joys being scratch? I like damage/performance loss, its tells nobs that cant drive to get better, and provides entertainment when you're sucking bad and blow into everyone slowing down at a hairpin Cant wait for a next-gen TOCA myself, not so sure about this and other shiny racers, Motorstorm will probably be my next driving game purchase. Maybe i just like seeing cars go BOOM! |

Yeah, the manufacturers moan (which is GT's excuse) but then PGR3 etc have some sort of damage modelling so maybe they are getting a bit more relaxed about it? Then again, if you smash into a wall in PGR3 at 200mph then your bumper hangs off. Which is gay. I don't know about your cars but if I hit a wall at 70mph then I wont have much of a car left. Next gen TOCA will rock but then I've hardly played my copy of TRD3 despite it being pretty awesome. Time to dig it out I think... |

Amen to that. A couple of years ago I bumped into a towbar in my Metro at about 3 MPH. The result was a write off . Granted, my Metro is a touch less expensive that some of the cars on PGR and I don't think the game caters for caravan accessories, but a more realistic damage model would be good.

Brainwave: You know how there were the slow cars in PGR3? How about REALLY slow cars (like your Metro [RIP]) that could be used in a destruction derby type game? I mean - if you're gonna go all out on damage modelling, then go for broke, no? So...you've got the Ferrari's and Lambo's and shit, and then, for a bit of light relief, off you go on the inside bit of a track in Forza 2 for a bit of smashing mayhem? It's early - I'm only just waking up *ahem* |

Forget petrolheads, tweaking on suspension settings and gearbox ratios. Bring on the grey filler and gaffer tape repairs Drive your Chevette around the track with odd coloured body panels including one in grey primer. |

Don't forget Chavaliers. Could be a whole new racing league...all in Burberry. |
