I enjoyed Forza 1 a lot, but I'm no racing expert and I hate shit like the tests in GT.

Do you recommend this game?

There's no tests at all (well, none that I've seen), it's all about the racing and the buying/tuning/customising.

ALL driving games that don't include weaponry/gimmicks/weird tracks etc. etc. will all feel much of a muchness, so it's not worlds away from GT in that respect.

Dunno if it's "better" than PGR3, but that might be an option if you ain't already got it as it's cheap now innit?

Oh, and don't be afraid to register, we don't bite........much :ph43r:

I don't get how they can achieve the level of fine detail and shading? I need to find a much deeper more detailed "how to" - I have a nice idea in mind now. Though I dread to think how long it would take!

That's even if I could manage it in the first place.

oh and another impressive effort by someone:

The more I play the career mode on this the more it starts to annoy me

Currently at level 25 with around the same number of cars in my garage - majority of which are upgraded and tuned

The problems I am finding are this

(1) Even with all them cars its hard to find any races to take part in.  And all the races I can take part in my cars are too underpowered to stand any chance.  This the  results in half hour of racing round in a circle with difficulty settings as high as they go to earn enough money to go back and upgrade a car.

Said car then seems fuck all use for any other races and have to repeat again

(2) The menu system feels clunky - I may be missing something but is there any way of changing what car you are driving without having to go back to "MY CARS" ?  For example, choosing the wrong model porche for a race sees you having to press B a couple of times, find the car you want, select get in, navigate all the way back to race and then race

Game would be a lot smoother if you could choose a car then choose just the races that car is eligible for from the same screen

Starting to feel have had enough of the single player game - its more an RPG grind than a racer

Your second problem is a pain in the arse and I'm amazed that when testing no one said "hey, why can't we change cars easilly", strange oversight indeed.

I must admit I haven't struggled to find any races so far. I usualy go into a race with an underpowered car, see how I fare and then slowly upgrade as I get better placings and buy new stuff. I always start with slick tyres and then exhaust and airflow.

I like the feeling of progression as slowly but surely my car starts to be a match for those I'm racing against.

Virtually done... although I have to say that a lack of HD telly means you can't pick out a lot of detail, which is why the few crease lines around Mega's foot look a bit shit at the moment...

If anyone wants to gift me a decent car to put this or something similar on it would be most welcome. I'm sure we can come to some arrangement.

Very nice mate - I'm sure Dunk'll have summink decent knocking about now that he's at a high level. I've only got the cars I was given and haven't bought anything other than my GTI starter car.

Does any driving actually go on? ;) Are the rooms filled with boy-ricers putting neons and paintjobs on cars they could never afford?

Let's do some business then.

If you've got an overabundance of cars and I have designs, then why don't you gift me something decent (Skyline/Evo/Supercar) and I'll tune it a little, paint it, we'll bung it on the auction house, spam the hell out of some forums and split the profit.

Anyone know what a good car to auction would be?

It's not the cars that make the money mate, it's the designs. You just gotta decide if you want your art locked to one car or not when you bung it on there.

OK. Are we likely to make anything?

Lots of cars being auctioned, and I'm not sure if they're making more than the cars originally cost...

There you go mate - best part of a dozen sent to you

Various shapes and sizes, various classes and a few pretty much upgraded and tuned (the bentley seems tuned to perfection for weight just gearing thats wrong)

Do what you want with them mat, but if you could smarten up the bentley and maybe another one or two to be gifted back that would be smashing

Any profit from auction, how about a 60 fourty split in your favor ?

Cool. 50/50's fine by me - but let's see if we actually get any money first.

Just had a look on a hunch, and there are shedloads of cars on ebay...
