Well, the demo is up on xbox live now and I have to say compared to last years effort, this isn't bad at all. Shame you are forced to play as Nicky Hayden in the demo, as he is a complete and utter turd on a bike (but that's a whole other story!)

There are some nice grid shots now before the race starts, and these are pretty impressive I have to say. Lot's of mechanics and babes with umberellas, who look a bit too like lego men when up close, but it's a nice touch with the presentation.

The racing itself seems to follow on from last year, in that it's very arcadey, and sadly, I will wager, they don't include a sim option like they used to. That doesn't mean the handling is easy though, for non bikers, you will probably spend the first few laps wrestling with the controller going left, right, left, right, left, righ etc etc. Anything but travel in a straight line.

Shame the replays are still shite. I can't fathom how they can make a game play smoothly, yet trip over itself when it comes to replays. They are a jerky mess and in a game with bikes, which are so dynamic in the way they move, having nice replays matters (well, at least to me :) )

I believe the game may have been put back by a couple of weeks as it has been resubmitted to Microsoft. But I'm looking forward to having a blast on it as soon as it's released.

edit: seems sim mode is available after all. That'll teach me for thinking that just because the first few options aren't available, that no others are either!
