Had a brief go - not bad at all. Just hope it ain't ANOTHER must-have to add to the ridiculously long list.

Best year ever? I reckon so.

Don't we say this every year?

Its true though, things get better and better annualy, especially at this time of year on the gaming calender. Loads of great stuff spilling out into 2008 too!

Heck, I am even interested in some mediocre received games these days, such are the ideas, styles and visuals that this new gens hardware allows us to try out.

You ain't wrong - I think it's (partly) thanks to this whole "emergent gameplay" stuff which is pretty much entirely down to physics, even a bit of a duffer can have some awesomeness in it.

I had a quick play on this last night and i'm not too sure about it. I did enjoy running up to enemies and taking their guns from them, but I didn't at any point feel like i was in danger of dying and i think it's going to be a balls-out arcade run-and-gun FPS, something i've kind of grown out of.

i'd also like to see how they use the timeshift in the game, not just through set-pieces. the fact that the game auto-selects which ability you want means things are likely to be pretty linear when you approach a problem. i'd have hoped for more than one angle to approaching problems.

all said and done it was much more enjoyable than the big pile of wank that was Call of Juarez...

Oh so it wasn't just me, then?

What was up with that demo? Tedious doesn't begin to cover it.
