I'm waiting on the no doubt inevitable price drop. Loved 2 as well, but have read a fair few negative comments about this one. So £25 or less will be my price point I think. Off-topic, but after the bomb that was Rockband 3 I was hoping for a drop on that as well. |

Yup I've had it for a couple of weeks but only really invested 4 or 5 hours into it. So far I'd say it's pretty much the same experience as Fable 2, so the usual following the trail and then performing tasks in between random fights with wolves/bandits/soldiers. Looks nice enough and the vocal work is top-notch as always (especially John Cleese). Of major annoyance though is the way you now manage your inventory. It's basically a glorified changing room you have to visit to change clothes and weapons and access the map. It really affects the momentum of the game IMO. So far the story has yet to grab hold in the way the first one did. I'm not itching to get back to Albion which probably tells you all you need to know

The interacting with the villagers and emotions / actions you can use has been changed and for the worse Now making people like / love / hate you is just far too much effort in places |

Guys- this has just arrived from Lovefilm. Without spoilers, what do I have to look out for at the end of the game? You know, this "suddenly ending with no warning" thing? |

Basically you become the king/queen and then the game changes with you having to meet people in your throne room and either meet or reject their demands. Along with this there is a countdown to something. Every few meetings (along with the appropriate quests) days will countdown in chunks. Just make sure that you have a stack of money saved. You need at least 6 million I think it is. I made sure I had about 10 million just to be safe (it's fairly easy getting that much money) Otherwise you get the bad ending apparently. You have a long way to go yet though obviously I'll find out which quests you'll be doing near the end, as what happens is, you think you have something like 150 days left, and suddenly it goes from that to day zero.

No problem mate - found the quest. You are asked to retrieve a priceless statue. Once you go back to the throne room, there is no going back. So keep a note that near the end of the game, you get asked to do that quest by someone. You can go get the statue if you wish, just don't return to the castle with it. Oh and just so as you know, the game does continue past the end part of the game. If you are hunting around for stuff like the silver keys, some are in areas you can't reach until you have finished the game. |
