I actually have fairly high hopes that the framerate will be ok. I wasn't that keen on Max Payne 3, but the Sao Paulo levels had some amazing detail in them, and the frame rate seemed to hold up well.

That, plus they say in that article that they have made big improvements to the graphic engine, and can basically draw scenery for miles.

I think the disc swap will all depend on what MS let them get away with. they could indeed have one disc as a "DLC" disc a la Halo 4 and get around it that way. I just can't help thinking there will be a ton of dialogue in there and I think GTA IV pretty much took up a whole disc, and that was small compared to this game. I'm fairly sure with both DLC's installed, GTA IV takes up something like 12gigs of disc space.

Wouldn't dream of playing a game that huge with a PS3 controller. Other option might be if it comes out on Wii U as well. That could possibly control well and also be the best looking of the bunch.

Either way, super excited :)

Yup, I'm as excited as I was for VC and SA to be honest. IV always felt too dour, right from its inception.

This switching between characters could well be the Holy Grail of gaming IMHO; getting out of a boring mission whilst something "grindy" needs to happen, only to return to it once its been done? Yes please!

Be amazed if it works, mind.

Some new screenshots. This game is looking fucking incredible in my opinion. Nobody builds believable worlds like Rockstar does.

Apparently the demo was shown on PS3 and no firm details at all for the P.C yet. To be fair to Rockstar, they have been pretty good at always showing in game screens. But this does look too clean to be true.

I'm going to see if I can contact the guy I know and find out more. Not spoken to him in an awful long time though, and he has been resolutely tight lipped since moving up the chain.

Seriously....how fucking good is that trailer? I know I said it maybe two posts ago, but Rockstar just know how to build a fantastic believable city. I enjoyed Saints Row 3, but felt no urge to explore the city whatsoever.

Yup - it "feels" like San Andreas rather than IV, doesn't it?

Crazy shit's back!

Without even playing it, I know this will be my game of the year. It looks immense. I'll do my usual thing of going off exploring and doing the missions whenever I can be arsed. They make those worlds so damned inviting.

So true. Don't get me wrong, I loved GTA IV and two of the best add-ons I've ever played, but Lost Santos is just so much more appealing in every way. Anyone fancy a game of tennis/golf, followed by a boat trip and swim/dive, with a bike race and base jumping competition to follow? Then we could go steal cars, shoot people and blow stuff up! ...And yet I still hear wankers complaining about (possible) disk swapping. How many different games would that normally take?

Yep....and they have confirmed there won't be disc swapping as there will be a mandatory install. Which of course has come people fucking moaning as well. It's an 8GB install......you can buy an 8GB USB stick for a fiver and use that!! Some people.

Got to admit I find it mind boggling when you look on forums and see people saying that they don't think it is graphically very good. Have they seen the fucking detail in that world? It didn't take hundreds of people five years to make for nothing. It is an immense challenge.

Of course I'm biased as I know a guy working on it. But still.....

Agree about this world as well. Loved GTA IV to bits (and am hoping to pick it up on P.C cheap in the Steam sale) but the varied game world with the beaches, mountains, dirt trails etc, is much more appealing. Where the hell is Juz? Shouldn't he be here creaming himself?

I still haven't played my copy of GTA IV beyond the opening mission, and I haven't enjoyed a GTA game since Vice City, so I doubt I will be bothering with this.

Well I spent about 7 or 8 hours on it today and only completed about 3 actual story missions-GTA continues to be the best time-waster out there. It's the most amazing, attractive and inviting environment I've ever played in. I thought the water in Battlefield 4 was good, but GTA V's is even more realistic. I cycled up a mountain today, later I stole a jumbo jet, and got given the finger for cutting up some bird in an Infernus...
