Well speaking for myself, I'm loving the Xbox One - mainly for one reason only, Dead Rising 3. I think it's awesome, and playing it co-op is amazing fun to be honest.

On the whole, I really like this new Xbox, but the dash does need some improvements. But considering the u-turn they did earlier in the year, they have done a great job I think.

The PS4......I've been plodding through Killzone. And I mean plodding....it is so pedestrian. There is no excitement to any of the missions. It is a real trudge - but a bloody spectacularly pretty one at times. The game can look truly amazing, but is also incredibly boring.

It must be like dating a supermodel. Looks the part, but doesn't have one single interesting thing to say :)

Once Killzone is finished, I honestly have no idea what I'll play on it next. I'll be sticking with Xbox for multiplatform releases. Apart from one exception maybe - The Division. It looks amazing, and if the PS4 offers up a better resolution, that will be one game I'll get on PS4 and soldier on with that fucking pad layout.

I see Diddly has been playing on the Xbox One at last. Curious to know what he thinks - though I expect a rant is incoming :)

Is Dead Rising 3 the only Xbox One game that's finished? (and that's only because it's a port, whatever the devs might claim). Ryse has bugs all over, FIFA is fatally bugged (a first for an EA game I think) and shockingly unpatched by Christmas (but this does explain why it was given away with most Xbones), and Forza 5 feels like a Prologue version of the finished game to come.

Killer Instinct? They've got A BLOODY NERVE giving that crap away free, they should have paid us to play it. Anyone buying the DLC should be taken out and KICKED TO DEATH. Maybe BF4 (an abortion on X360) or AC Black Flag (another port) will be better. Thank heavens for GTA V.

I want to play GTAV again, but I'm holding out for a next gen version now (it must be coming). Other than that, I haven't really touched either my Xbox One (I wish it had a decent shortened name. Xbone is embarrassing to type out, and One sounds fucking pretentious. Hopefully it will just become Xbox soon enough. But 360 was nice and simple) or PS4.

Finished the (very pretty) snooze fest that is Killzone, and there is absolutely nothing else I want to play on the PS4 now. Still need to finish off Dead Rising 3, but had some real life problems rear their ugly head so have pretty much stayed in the bedroom playing GT6 for now. Can't get into Forza 5 at all. I think they fucked up the handling. I've driven some of the super cars in the game and they don't oversteer and understeer when you even catch a glimpse of a corner, unlike the game. Plus the drivatar thing is getting on my fucking tits now....it doesn't work.

Well I've been playing and loving Assassins Creed IV on the PS4, and will probably try again with Killzone later today (I do genuinely find it taxing, even on Easy).

Been playing Minecraft on the 360 with Emily and on my own....strangely compelling and only £5 at Morrisons.

Can't see me getting an XBOne, despite my adoration of that controller. Two Next Gen consoles is a step too far down the extravagant road for me now - just seems a tad...maybe gauche is a bit strong, but it just seems kinda pointless as the PS4 is genuinely (not theoretically, like the PS3) a more powerful pure gaming device.

Also enjoying Assassins Creed on PS4 once I mastered the Naval battles, went in a bit too gung ho at first.

Resogun is a brilliant quick blaster shooter
Contrast was "interesting" yet short, and couldn't justify a full price for a game due to gameplay glitches
Don't Starve just leaves me cold, I can't be arsed to invest the time to learn it.

Yeah I fucked up buying both. To be fair, I bought them both on the promise of some money off an aunt - which never quite materialised and left me short to be honest. But if I was going for one, the controller design (of the Xbox One) would win over the PS4 pad every time. That stick placement feels so wrong to me. And the battery life between charges...jesus. I think it lasted about 7-8 hours before needing charging.

On the other hand I was still using the original Duracells that came with the Xbox One 3 weeks later. Already had some eneloop rechargeables so I'm good to go. One other thing as well, got two DS3 pads here which are basically useless because they don't hold a charge anymore. I know people think MS re behind the times using batteries...but fuck me it gets expensive once built in rechargeable packs die.

I'm also surprised at how many people switched on my friends list on the Xbox to the Xbox One. I half expected a lot of messages letting me know their new PS4 usernames, but actually, anyone added on my PS4 list is someone new.

Yeah there's no doubt about it that having the 2 analogue sticks right next to each other is WRONG....I really wish that Sony would just bite the fucking bullet and make one where the D-Pad and left stick positions were reversed.

@ Dunk - Infamous Second Son doesn't appeal???? It looks fucking AMAZING and I loved the previous 2. As long as there's a steady stream of multi-plat stuff coming over the next few months as well (which there will be), then my PS4 will get enough use...plus a patch to make CD's work, you fucking FREAKS!

Using PS4 over wi-fi in a separate room to router and performance is abysmal!

1.4kbps <--- yes KB! dial up speed

Not sure it is a combination of virgin media bandwidth throttling or the cheaper wifi adapter Sony scrimped on...

Going to do some more tests, trying it out next to wifi router, cabled etc.

Currently piss-poor

Gta v confirmed what I knew. I don't really enjoy open world games of this nature (first person role players such as skyrim and fallout I am fine with)

Played first two infamous titles and managed about two hours on each.

There was one other ps4 exclusive that took my eye, that steam punk London game, but can't remember its name.

Uncharted is only game that I would consider a ps4 for
