Wow...I get back from the gym, grab lunch...only to have the Inbox explode all over the place.

So...to sum up...Edgardo is still pushing for Ami. And I REALLY don't get why. I don't think she'll be a loose cannon. And maybe I have a soft spot for her since she's made me chuckle a couple times, and was unusually sincere in her last message to me about wanting to stick by me.

But...Edgardo is telling me EVERYONE is on board with an Ami vote. But he's telling the same thing to Becky. And Ken. And Marty. And everyone is a little mystified by the Ami suggestion, but doesn't want to "rock the boat"...when the only person in the boat seems to actually be Edgardo.

I'm surprised a little that Marty is cool with this, even after the fact. I do feel a little like I'm getting played...and so does Becky (I haven't yet told her how much Edgardo has thrown her under the bus...no need to do that yet).

So...Edgardo is thinking it's going to be Ami. Becky is on board with considering an Edgardo vote for tonight, depending on how the challenge goes. Marty just wants to go along with "whatever," which surprises me (although I may be one of the few people Ami has connected with). And Ken is waiting to see what else transpires tonight...which is probably the rational thing to do.

My guess...Edgardo probably already has Lydia and Tanya's votes for Ami locked up. Marty, Becky, Ken and I are perhaps on the fence. No idea where Sugar stands.

Maybe I should shoot a note to her...? Hrm...

Feel like it's a case of whoever threw out a name first just started getting latched onto for fear of everyone else getting brought up?

Basically an "as long as it's not me" mentality............is that a good way to describe the Tarforst tribe from your POV?

Marty is taking on more of an "as long as it's not me" mentality, which is surprising. Becky seems more willing to try to turn Edgardo's game on him. And Ken seems to be somewhere in between.

I think I'm trying to avoid the "as long as it's not me" game. There were a couple times where I wrote to someone "if that's who everybody decides on, I'll go along with it," but then deleted that.

I'm asking myself...is it so bad if Ami goes home? I think she feels a tie to me, which helps me...but does it help anyone else? And am I doing more harm than good pushing for someone else to go home? And I can already envision Edgardo using the fact that I want to get Lydia out as leverage against me...

If we lose tonight...I'm guessing it's going to be Ami or Edgardo going home. If people decide to not vote Ami, it will likely only be because they've turned on Ed.

Soooo...we already know to watch our backs with Edgardo. I don't know if he thinks we're comparing notes to the extent that we are. So not sure if that will help or harm us down the road.

Further misgivings about Edgardo....

I mentioned that if Ami kicks ass in the challenge...that we may have to regroup to figure out who we then target.

I'll give it to him....he kept his calm. But he did say that the way he was approaching the game, he'd still rather take out a strategic threat than keep a computer whiz.

I know Marty, at least, wants to see how Edgardo performs at tonight's challenge. So unsure how he'd react to the news that Edgardo wants Ami gone, regardless of performance.

What I just don't get is why is Edgardo looking to railroad Ami out of Tribal Council? He's putting a lot of effort into this....

Well...I may have been playing a little fast and loose today. One of those classic blunders where someone tries to organize an alliance...and gets buy in from a couple people, but then one person wants to slam on the brakes.

Basically, approached Ken and Becky about how they'd like to work with a larger group that includes me, Marty and Sugar. Ken was on board...Becky was on board. And Marty...the person I felt closest with...he doesn't want to commit to anything at the moment, with tonight's challenge looming.

Ruh-roh.

I had to come clean to Ken and Becky and say that Marty didn't want to consider that until after tonight's challenge. And I had to kind of lie to Marty and lead him to believe that I hadn't yet chatted with anyone. I kindly asked them to keep our chat under their hats for a couple days...hope that doesn't build paranoia. But it does squarely put me in the center of building this alliance. Not a position I wanted to be in...

The kicker is that I was largely driven to do this in response to Edgardo's machinations to get Ami out. I like Becky, and he's got her in his cross-hairs...so I want to galvanize against that.

I don't THINK I'll be gone tonight...unless Edgardo picks up the votes of Lydia, Tanya, Ami and Marty...and I'm being played.

Oh....here comes the flag challenge implosion.

I thought we had things handled. Lydia was going to take point as lead designer, we were going to come to the table with ideas which Lydia could incorporate, including South Park avatars (possibly).

And then Ami does her own flag. With her in the center. Lovely. SIBERIASIBERIASIBERIASIBERIA.

I'm going to wait for others to react. My instinct is to shoot down her idea and say "Did you not read that Lydia is going to be leading this, incorporating our ideas?"

Then again...who knows if Lydia is going to even do this.

I'm ignoring, going to bed. Seeing how other react.

Ah, memories. And just because it's still probably my favorite Confessional I've done, I've got to post a link to:

*THE SIBERIA FLAG TASK*

I remember those couple days of that event so well. And your "Shane" always cracked me up :D
