So far...all quiet. Well...mostly quiet. Not really sure if Ami or Lydia is working on the flag, and where this South Park avatar thing is going to pan out, but, bluntly...I've got better things to do between now and Tuesday than haggle over flag design. I know the intent is for everyone to work together, but I also believe in strong delegation, and am not the type to speak just to be heard...so if someone has a good idea for a design, I'm fine with it containing no contribution from me. As for Thursday, it's actually looking like I may be available for the challenge. But it may be a gametime decision. For the viewer's at home, I work in advertising, and I've just started working on a new client. We have a big meeting with him on Friday, but there may be a client dinner on Thursday evening, where it may be "strongly suggested" that I attend, so that we can meet outside of office formalities. It's something I'd like to avoid...but we'll see. |

So, how would you compare the vibe of your tribe with other tribes you've been on in the past? Similar personalities? Similar cohesiveness? Or a bunch of scattered minds? |

The other two tribes I've been on in your games were apples and oranges (or apples and bananas, if I'm to more accurately typify my Siberia tribe) compared to this...er...plum? LOST was a four-person tribe, and my first experience...and I didn't know what to expect. We quickly got divided split in two, and I found myself forced to ingratiate myself into a majority that just voted out my only original tribemate. I felt like I was always playing catch-up in that game. Siberia was a cluster...but also had a couple non-participants that were easy first targets. And then there was Sarge. In that season, I felt more like I was pulling the ropes behind the scenes...but not in a manipulative way. Just to get myself out of an alliance that I was kind of forced into. Here...I don't think I'm in the dominant power structure. Despite having an agreement with Marty, and seemingly strong relationships with Becky and Ken, I do get the sense the three of them (or, at least Marty and Becky) are working very closely and letting me come along for the ride. Initially, I wouldn't have been fine with this...but I think it's okay to accept this in the early stages of the game. |

Christ, Ami...love ya...but this isn't about banging out the flag in record time. Lydia feels bad about being the cause of our loss in the challenge...AND we kept her around...and making the flag is, in her mind, her chance to pay us back. STOP already. |
