I can't believe it. What a great day. We can enjoy our final five. But it's right back to work. I've secured not only a final two with everyone here, but also a final three. So no matter what - I should be protected in the next vote. Erinn - Kim - Austin Kim - holly - Austin And add my sixteenth alliance... (Or is it 17?)... Frosti - holly - Austin This can work. It really can. And true to form, I have no idea who I'll be sitting with. Lets solve one vote at a time and no further... Sucks I'm going to hurt someone or two people. But sugar is right - Lydia never gave me any credit for playing this game. I just hope I get to show her what I did. |

So much stress gone today. I don't know if the others feel it - but I certainly do. You know - I think the story of Lydia supports my theory. I think what Lydia became in this game is not who she really is. And that is why she found herself distanced from everyone. Because she is an amazing person. We talked far too much to just think she's not a good person. But you turn into something different and people suddenly look at you and ask - who are you? That's not who I thought you were. Maybe online it's just a little more extreme - because you can hide behind anonymity for so long. But when push comes to shove - you get put into a position of acting or reacting and that is when you show your true colors. I guess fortunately for Austin, he hasn't had to show his true colors yet. The key is eliminating the others in the right order so they don't get to talk about you until they are on the jury. And in the real Survivor, Austin wouldn't stand a chance. Because the jury would hate him. Hate him for needing to have his hand held, hate him for not making any visible moves, hate him for voting them out when he said he wouldn't. But with the extra card to play - my hope is that Austin can pull it out. That the strategic choice of being different (or as Sugar says, trying something different) results in respect as opposed to hatred. But it's tough - because there are real bonds with these people. Sugar, Frosti, Erinn, Lydia, Kim, Holly, even Becky. But we came to try to win. I won't resort to the tactics Lydia did - but that doesn't mean that mine will be any better. And we'll just see what happens. Though I don't think I've been the villain I wanted to be. (I think my villainy has happened in the shadows) I do think that my evil deeds will catch up to me soon. I hope at the finals.... but it's a long way to get there. |

It is so nice and quiet. One message today from Kim. And that's it. Surely it won't be a cakewalk to the final 3. But things look really good. Erinn and Holly won't work together. So there can't be a final 3 that I am not a part of. The only exception is if Frosti does something really cool. I can't see that happening.... unless Frosti has a deal with Kim and Erinn. But those trust issues I set up in the very beginning against Frosti really helped. There are still trust issues, especially after the rumors of him trying to work something with Lydia. No one is talking to me about who will 'win this game' if they make it to the end. Seems quite a different final 5 than what we had in Borneo. This group is loyal. This group feels the relationships are already set. At least that is the sense I get. So - it comes down to who gets immunity on Sunday. And managing the wants and desires of the others. Kim and I can get on the same page very easily. It's not a done deal by any means - but it's looking pretty darned good. |
