There are many stories in the wizarding world. Probably the biggest is that of Harry James Potter, the boy who lived and conquered the dark lord.

However, Harry's story was not the only central one happening. Whilst he and his friends were struggling year after year, other students experienced their own problems and triumphs. Each student is unique, they all have their past, present and future.

It's time to take a turn in the magical world that wasn't in the original books.

If Harry got his permission note from sirius then how come he can still go? Only Harry , Ron , Hermione and Dumbledore knew that sirius was inocent. How come his permission was granted by a so called "killer"?

Well, it wasnt written that Flich sees a note and permits harry to walk in hogsmede, McGonagall knew that Sirius was innocent so maybe she permitted him to go.. And most of all... its not about innocence, its about the fact that Sirius was Harry's godfather what the question should be. so...

Actually Filch must have seen the note as you read in the other books espicially in the "Half Blood prince". If sombody knew that Harry was in touch with sirius then wouldnt the minestry of magic be questioning Harry? Also do we actually know that Mcgonagall knew the truth? I dont think it said that.

Well, it isnt even given that Mc gonagall didnt know about Sirius being his godfather. And I dont remember reading that Filch read the note and allowed harry in? ^_^

You just repeated what you put in the first place.

Mc.Gonagal knows and filch is tight about security and checks that everyone has permission. Anyway they would have known because everyone knows that Harry's parents are dead. If sirus gives Harry permission then all people have to do is look at the note and can tell that Harry and Sirius are related.

Dumbledore and McGonnagal will have done their best to make sure that Filch keeps his prying eyes out of other peoples' business. Dumbledore and McGonnagal both know he's innocent and that Harry had permission and that should be enough for Filch. Also Dumbledore would make sure the ministry didn't find out.

McGonnagal didn't know he was inncoent at first. Because didn't she confiscate his firebolt incase it was from sirius and to see if he cursed it?

That's true but by the time he had his permission slip Dumbledore will have explained everything to her... after all she is a member of the order.

This is what I think:

In PoA, no one believed that Sirius was innocent. It was only when the trio explained everything that Dumbledore knew the truth.

Harry also said that the note he got from Sirius, permitting him to Hogsmeade visits, was good enough for Dumbledore. He must have sent the permission slip directly to Dumbledore then the latter told McGonagall of Harry being permitted. Of course, she must have questioned him, but Dumbledore doesn't really give out clear answers, does he? Everyone must have thought the permission was from the Dursleys.

Anyway, Dumbledore is good at keeping secrets (Aberforth said so), he didn't tell anyone about Sirius before OotP.
