So it's finally out for everyone to purchase. How many of you have got it and what's your thoughts on the book? I've got my copy but I haven't read it yet. I'm starting later today. It's £3 - £6 in the U.K and a portion of that goes to charity. Remember to put your post in spoiler tags when discussing plot details. Yes, bit late posting this topic but better than never. :)[/spoiler] |

To be honest, it was definitely written as childrens' fairy tales, but had a hint of general gloom to them. They were fantastic and short. I especially loved the little addition of the notes by our favorite "Dumbledore." These added to the stories' back history in the way of fictional contextualization. |

I read the whole book yesterday after posting this. It was alright. Certainly a book for the fans wanting that little bit extra. On the whole I found the book interesting rather than exciting. I liked some references to characters, places, objects from the main series which gave that extra backstory to the universe. It felt more traditional whereas Harry's story felt more modern - to appeal to the standard reader. |

I think I liked the Fountain of Fair Fortune the best, espeically when "Dumbledore" told us about the School Play. Lol. (I thought that the Hairy Heart one was kind of gross and disturbing in a way though... O.o) |
