There are many stories in the wizarding world. Probably the biggest is that of Harry James Potter, the boy who lived and conquered the dark lord.

However, Harry's story was not the only central one happening. Whilst he and his friends were struggling year after year, other students experienced their own problems and triumphs. Each student is unique, they all have their past, present and future.

It's time to take a turn in the magical world that wasn't in the original books.

Giomanach Phoenix

Hunter was holding his normal lesson today, but there was a twist as well, he would have Jack, his old friend, sitting in as well by request from Mcgonagall, Hunter didn't know why, but he didn't want to get on the Headmistresses nerves with questions, so he just gathered up some work for the third years to do while he helped Jack out with whatever it was he was in the lesson for.

Hunter packed the stuff he was taking with him into his bag and then headed out of his office and down the stairs into his classroom, he still needed time to get used to been the teacher in this room, it hadn't been that long since he had been a mere student himself.

Hunter put his bag down on his desk and sat at the desk, finishing off some paperwork and marking a few essays while he waited for people to arrive for lesson. Then he began taking items out of his bag for the third years lesson, they would basically be using them for targets as he was going to be mainly teaching them about boggarts, but he was saving that for later, unless he changed his mind and wanted an amusing lesson.

When he was ready, Hunter sat back at the desk, waiting for the first students to turn up so he could begin his lesson, he didn't mind people showing up late, he used to do it often enough himself.

as rushed as kikattaa looked, she finally found her class, as though she thought. she straightened up and entered the room calmly. watching her professer work. was this her new teacher she kept thinkin. either way this was the first lesson of the year.
as she chose carefully her seat. she was sat at the front of the class on the end of the middle row. she was hopeing that galaria was in her class. galaria seemed to be the only friend she had made yet. not even anyone in her own dorm had mentioned the word hello and come out with a huge confersation of her last school. kikattaa came to the conclusion that eveyone here was private and stayign to themselfs. was it some kind of trend in this school.
" hurry up galaria." she wispered to herself. not only was she hoping that she was in her class but also being able to sit next to her.

Galaria Phoenix

Galaria took her time to get to her Defence against the dark arts class, knowing that everything will be ok and that she wasn't going to be late. She only knew this because she always set off early from her dorm.

As she reached the classroom, she checked that she had her bag set and had everthing in it, then walked into the classroom.

As Galaria walked into the lesson, she was shocked with who was sat at the teachers desk. It was her brother Hunter Phoenix, now gonna be called Professor Phoenix.

While Galaria was still trying to get over the shock of having her brother as a teacher, she saw Kikattaa sat at the front of the class on the end of the row. Galaria quickly walked over to Kikattaa and tried not to make any eye contact to her brother/professor.

"Hey Kikattaa, sorry I'm slightly later then you were, had to make sure I have all my stuff for this lesson." Galaria greeted her best friend with a smile. "Are you sure this is our real teacher?"

As Galaria looked up again, her brother looked up and saw that she was sat at the front of his classroom. She automatically knew that this year was going to be very eventful.

Oh please......let Hunter just be a trainy and not our actual teacher, please Galaria whispered to herself.

Hunter looked up from his desk and smiled when he saw the first two people come in, one of them was his sister, who he welcomed like always

"Ah hello Miss Phoenix, glad you are here on time, I would hate to have to dock points from Gryffindor, especially since it is my old house"

There was also another girl, whom Hunter didn't know, so he walked up to the desk and smiled warmly to her

"And what woud your name be my dear, I know that you are a new student, but I don't know your name I am afraid to say"

Hunter smiled and waited for the girl to reply, all he knew so far was that she was from Finland originally and that she was new to this school and had been sorted straight into Slytherin.

she was glad to see galaria finally enter the room. as she watched galaria walk down the room. she noticed how galaria looked at the professer. as though she was confused.

"Hey Kikattaa, sorry I'm slightly later then you were, had to make sure I have all my stuff for this lesson."....."Are you sure this is our real teacher?"

"wells its wat it says on my agender," she pulled out a small note book, flippin through the first pages." defence against the dark arts /professer giomanach... yep this should be right .." she giggled as she put away her timetable. looking to the front. they were being aproched by their teacher.

"Ah hello Miss Phoenix, glad you are here on time, I would hate to have to dock points from Gryffindor, especially since it is my old house" did this mean he came to this school before, at least she wasnt suprised on how she knew galaria. this was her third year. and only kikattaa's first. and what were house points. this was all to much to remember.

"And what woud your name be my dear, I know that you are a new student, but I don't know your name I am afraid to say".... kikattaa accespted his smile and reply to his question. being as polite as ever.
"its ok sir, my name is kikattaa. this is my first year."

Hunter smiled down at the new girl again, she was polite and he knew she was also nervous with it been her first class.

"Welcome to Hogwarts kikattaa, I hope you like it here and make many friends, I see you have already made fine friends with my sister Galaria here"

Hunter then walked to the front of the class, there was still no sign of Jack, but Hunter was sure he would show up just in time for the lesson. There were a couple more people in the classroom now as well, everyone was showing up and had their things ready for the lesson to begin, Hunter was pleased by this, they were all ready to begin learning right away.

He would just have to catch up with Jack and what he needed when he arrived, he had to start the lesson now and he couldn't stall forever.

"Ok then class, welcome back to Hogwarts, I am Professor Phoenix, and today we shall be learning about Boggarts. These interesting little creatures will peer into your mind and pull out your worst fears, changing their forms so that they reflect that fear, but it can be dealt with, quite simply, with one short spell, but you have to have imagination to go with it. This is our task this lesson, to learn how to counter a Boggart and to also develope your imaginations just that bit more as well which doesn't always hurt"

Hunter then pulled out a chest from behind his desk

"Boggarts like small dark places, so they will commonly be found hiding in anything like this chest, or a cupboard."

He unlocked the chest, which had begun rattling quite violently as the creature inside was trying to escape.

"The spell we will be learning today is pronounced Ridikulous, and after long enough and if you are travelling in groups, the boggart will become confused, will try to copy all of your fears at once, causing it to mess up, once you have all weakened it, you laugh at it, which will thus cause it to explode, ridding you of the danger it can present"

Hunter stepped away from the chest and indicated for everyone to draw their wands and step forward.

"Now, form a line and step forward one by one, I will let the Boggart out and we shall see how well each of you fares against it"

Storming down the corridor, Jack made sure to stamp as much as possible, ignoring the whining noises the suits of armour kept making and the creaking sounds of them waving their fists at him for making such a racket. He couldn't believe the nerve of the school teachers. His OWL's resits were coming up and he needed to get as much revision in as possible.

He knew he was pretty much a failure at DADA (considering it was one of the two OWL's he failed), but he couldnt stand it, they always had pathetic teachers who left every year, despite the fact the new teacher would break that mould as he was neither pathetic or around for a year, and plus it involved too much wand work and magic in a battle like manner and he couldnt do it, he didnt have an argumentative bone in his body. So instead of using his free periods to go work in the quiet of the Hufflepuff common room or the library, Sprout and McGonagall had decided to put him in with the 4th years so he could "revise in a practical manner". Balls. They just wanted him to feel even more stupid.

Reaching the DADA corridor, Jack paused and pulled out his edited timetable, which was currently bewitched to shout such encouragements as "failure" "thick head" and "dung brains" especially when he focused on the 4th year DADA squares. His so called friend in his dorm had done it to offer him support. He had hexed the boys hair purple and his skin green in thanks. Safe to say his Charms work was up to scratch.

He had been amazed by his OWL's results that summer, he had passed everything rather well, or at least by his standards, much to his surprise he had even passed transfiguration. Now he was resitting his DADA and his Potions OWL's despite his constant protests that he had no intention of taking them to NEWT level anyway.

Reaching the door, Jack sighed as he heard the class shuffling around and the mention of the word Boggart. Great, just what he needed to see on the first day of his 6th year. A Boggart. He knew who his teacher was and that just made the whole thing more humiliating. Hunter, his best friend who had recently left, had returned to teach his favourite subject. Wonderful. Just what he needed, his best friend to know he failed his OWL's.

Sighing heavily, Jack pushed open the door and carefully slid along the surprisingly empty backrow and dropped down in the corner. If he was lucky noone would see him. The rest of the class, based on where their bags were, were sat in the front 2 rows on each side. Leaning against the wall, Jack gazed at the clock and sighed once more, before pulling his bag onto the desk and grabbing his OWL book and began to read once more.

He missed Mihael.

Hunter was just showing the class how to handle the Boggart when he faintly heard the door to the classroom open and then close, he knew Jack had arrived to the lesson for his OWL resit.

Telling the kids to keep going with the work he had set them, he headed over to the back of the room where Jack had settled in the corner and was now reading his DADA book. Sitting down next to him, Hunter switched out of been a teacher to been Jacks friend right away without thinking.

"Wel come to the lesson Jack my man, how are you doing? I'm glad you could make it to the lesson, but you won't have to deal with Boggarts today however, this is just some minor stuff for them to do, you get the better stuff, and to begin with, we shall just sit and chat through what you didn't pass on during your exam, I do have the list here, and I am impressed, you only failed a couple of things, which I can soon sort out for you, it won't take too much of your time up and then we can change your timetable back to normal"

Hunter smiled and pulled a list out of his pocket, skimming through it lightly, coming to the first thing he needed to help Jack with.

"I see here that you had slight trouble with a shielding spell and also a little bit with stunning, well they are simple to fix and it doesn't really take a lot of work either, now I know you aren't a fighter, but these really are useful for defence, would you like to get started now, or shall we wait till this lot are gone"

Hunter then looked up to find that the class had fallen back a little bit and the Boggart had changed into a giant spider and was now preparing to grab one of the students. Sighing, Hunter turned back into his professor mode and moved with his wand pointing at the Boggart.

The Boggart saw Hunter and changed from a spider into the inferi counterparts of his parents, which really did scare Hunter.

"Ridikulous"

Hunter spoke the word casually and the inferi changed into a tap dancing monkey, then, with a burst of laughter from the class, as they found it amusing, the Boggart exploded and that signalled that the class was over for them.

Hunter turned to the class and called out above their collective voices

"Ok then, you all did really well with that Boggart, and now that you have had some practical against one, I would like you all to now return to your desks and write for me, a side of parchment on the behavious of Boggarts, where you are most likely to find them, and also how to deal with one if you are ever attacked by one"

Hunter then turned back to Jack and sat with him again

"Now then, we can get to work ourselves"

He laughed at his little joke, he was at work already.

Jack nearly rolled his eyes as Hunter headed towards him and sat down beside him, grinning at him lopsidedly in a typical Hunter way.

"Welcome to the lesson Jack my man, how are you doing? I'm glad you could make it to the lesson, but you won't have to deal with Boggarts today however, this is just some minor stuff for them to do, you get the better stuff, and to begin with, we shall just sit and chat through what you didn't pass on during your exam, I do have the list here, and I am impressed, you only failed a couple of things, which I can soon sort out for you, it won't take too much of your time up and then we can change your timetable back to normal"

Nodding in response with a small 'mmm hmm' Jack shut the book and turned so he was facing his friend properly.

"Hunter, oh...erm...do i have to call you professor now?" Jack asked, his mind wandering off slightly before he shook it and returned back to his original train of thought. "I know what i failed, its stuff i couldnt do back in 3rd year, let alone 5th year. I doubt it's gonna happen. I can handle boggarts no problem and i dont see why im doing the resit cause im not doing a NEWT in it." Jack moaned, pouting heavily and resisting the urge to fold his arms like a petulant child.

"I see here that you had slight trouble with a shielding spell and also a little bit with stunning, well they are simple to fix and it doesn't really take a lot of work either, now I know you aren't a fighter, but these really are useful for defence, would you like to get started now, or shall we wait till this lot are gone"

Shrugging his shoulders Jack indicated that he didnt care either way and merely removed his wand from the holster on his arm that Mihael had bought him for his birthday as Hunter turned to sort out the Boggart that had turned from a spider into Inferi versions of Mr and Mrs Phoenix. Pushing his black glasses back up onto his nose, Jack glanced around the class as Hunter told them to get to work on their essays, before pausing slightly as he spotted Galaria. He forgot she was a 4th year now.

"Now then, we can get to work ourselves"

"Whatever." Jack sighed, pulling himself to his feet and holding his wand ready in his left hand, trying to decide whether he could actually be bothered to attempt a pass in his OWL, cause as he'd said infinite amounts of times that day already, he didnt want a NEWT in DADA, he didnt need it. "So, what we gonna practise first?" he asked, knowning full well that the moment they started practising, the rest of the class would turn to watch anyway.

Galaria Phoenix

Galaria watched as Hunter was telling the class what they were going to be doing in the lesson and decided to keep her head faced down to the table so that she wouldn't be recognised by the rest of the class as the sister of the professor.

Just as the class had started, Galaria heard the door of the room open and suddenly shut again as Jack walked into the class late.

"Kikattaa, that's Jack who's just walked into the classroom, he's one of our friends who we met before you came here, he's got a boyfriend called Mihael. I'll introduce you to him later. In the mean time, would you like to be my partner for this lesson, or at least would you like to work together to try and defeat the Boggart." Galaria laughed as she watched Jack sit down at the back of the room and watch Professor Phoenix walk towards him.

Oh this lesson is going to be funny, and somewhat embarrasing as well. I hate Hunter watching me do magic. Galaria whispered to herself.
