Being duty-bound to advertise the sites below, I thought I'd put this up for the convenience of everyone. I mean, shouldn't we have all the links in one festive food basket?
Of course, like most of my community services, I have the feeling it's been done before, but skimming through five pages of stuff couldn't turn it up. So ...

Final Fantasy Resurrection ~ A well-crafted RPing forum based on Final Fantasy crossovers. The only requirement is a passing knowledge of at least one FF game. If, for some obscure reason, you want to contact me there, I'm Sephiroth.

Metropolis Mossflower Another RPing forum, this one based on Brian Jacques' Redwall series. I say "based" rather loosely, since it's set in the far future, and has the whole planet Earth in it. (The Redwall locales are in what would normally be England). It's fairly new, with only a dozen or so members. And, in the extremely unlikely chance that anyone from this forum joins, my name there is Flammifleure.

So ... I hope other people have some links that will validate this topic.

Well, here's my share.

DnD Online Games ~ As you could guess from the name, a place where people can come and play D&D online. Don't know how many people play that here, but you might be interested. It's a very large site, though mostly the games are for advanced players.

Majesty Realms ~ A Majesty-based RP site. We currently have two stories going; the main one that the forum is made for and a smaller one (run by Fal) that is getting interesting. At the moment it seems as though our GM for the first is unavailible for some reason, but I hope it'll start up again soon. Anyways, you can read what we've written so far if you like, but be warned, it's rather confusing if you don't read some of the OOC stuff.

Sephiroth. I swear I have seen that somewhere. Oh well those sites look interesting I don't have any that would go with these though
No, just no.

I believe Seprioth is one of the arch-villians from a FF game, but I don't know which one... Quite possibly FFX, but I wouldn't really know.

FFVII. Coincidentally, I play the villain from X as well. Anyway, this is supposed to be for any links. Not just RP sites.

In that case...

Runescape ~ Yes, many people say this is horrible, but once enough peol=ple know of a game then there's probably some that will find it undesirable for some reason or another. And considering that it has in the millions of people playing, and upwards of 100 seperate servers, that's a fair amount of complainers. For those who don't already know of it, Runescape is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that places you as an adventurer trying to make his way in the world. You have a huge anmount of options open to you; any one of the 23 skills can take years to fully master, and there's more than 100 seperate quests to go on that range from very easy go-here-fetch-this-bring-there to kill-everything-while-balancing-on-a-log-over-a-bottomless-pit difficulty. There's also a large amount of minigames you can try, which have rewards that are quite useful; or you could take a stab at buying and selling items to and from other players to turn a profit. To have complete access, you need to pay $5 a month, but you have free servers as well where you are limited on pretty much everything in terms of content but you can play as long as you want.

Order of the Stick and Erfworld Comics ~ Two comics, Order of the Stick and Erfworld - The Battle for Gobwin Knob, are being run here. OOTS is the oldest one on the site with over 400 comics posted to date, while Erfworld is fairly recent but looks promising. They are both based on D&D, with OOTS showing things from the PC's perspectives and Erfworld teleporting an experianced DM from our world to a world remarkebly similer to some portrayed in D&D. OOTS is based more like the comics found in the newspaper; with a joke in pretty much every episode. Erfworld seems to be more like the drama-type comics that don't always have a joke each day but do have a promising long-term story with a moderate amount of humor.

Maid Marian Entertainment ~ This is a company that specialized in 3D chatting. Their main game is Sherwood, which is an RPG as well as a live chat room. You get to play as a knight of Sherwood (think: Robin Hood); battling monsters and buying equipment all while talking with your friends. You can choose to join one of four teams and stage large wars with your friends on the ground level, or choose to battle more natural threatsw in dungeons and distant islands. They also have Tank Ball (my favorite), where you take control of a tank and wage war on your friends in 3D. There's a few other options but those two are the most worth noting.

The following I have been advertising a large amount lately because I'd like people to get involved with it.
The HoA Wiki ~ This is a Wiki for HoA. For those who don't know, a Wiki is basically a home of information on a given subject, based off the original Wikipedia. Visitors can edit information or add new information very easily, and in most cases the information that isn't correct is weeded out rather quickly. There are 10 registered users at the moment, with myself and Karmic involved as well as Sphinx from the in-game forums and the Wiki's creator, HealerBasher. Our biggest project at the moment is the items database, which I'd gauge as around half done, but we have a fair amount of other stuff done as well, and we plan on getting a lot more stuff put in. You can come to use the information, or come and help edit it as well, but either way you'll be welcome.

Goblins ~ Interesting D&D webcomic from an even more interesting perspective. It has a fair amount of comics but not a huge amount. Worthwhile to check out if your a fan of D&D or Order of the Stick, but be warned: this is a rather dramatic webcomic. It has a large amount of violence too, so if you're easily offended you probably won't like it.

I don't normally go in for NSMMOLG but this one is kind of fun.
It has enough strategy to be interesting (at least in team play mode), but isn't so involved that you need to spend hours to become proficient.

AdventureQuest - Well, that's a nice RPG made up completely in Flash and having rather original ideas of weapons and monsters that combine fantasy with SF. You can play for free but I think that if you want to take full advantage of what the game has to offer, you'll have to subscribe for becoming a so-called Guardian-X (also this one-time fee removes waiting time when all the player spots on the server are full).

Fun playing in breaks and a little bit addictive. :)

And if you have AQ you can't leave out DF...
Dragon Fable ~ Very similar to Adventure Quest; made by the same company and actually takes place years before the beginning of AQ. But, there are enough differances that you may like it better than AQ. (I'm not sure which I like better; AQ has more content but DF may be overall a less-boring game...) All in all, I think it's worth a look. You can upgrade your account and get a Dragon Amulet for around $25, I think. It's a one-time payment, and it will offer unique advantages as the game progresses. It's supposedly not going to be availible forever, so if you like the game you may want to grab one soon.

Re AQ: You can become a Guardian and still get a fair amount of benifits (such as no wait to play, guardian only stuff, ect), but you can pay a bit extra and become an X-Guardian and get more stuff. It's all a one-time payment; no monthly stuff.

Both games also have special currencies (Z-Tokens for AQ, Dragon Tokens for DF) that you can use to get better stuff than just plain gold pieces. When you upgrade your account you get some, and in AQ you can also get small amount when you fight monsters, but for much more you have to buy them. You can get some cool stuff but I personally don't bother.

I myself like Dragon Fable more then AQ because it doesn't have waiting times. Will you might need to correct me on that. Plus you actually have to move the character instead of clicking buttons
No, just no.

What do you mean by waiting times?

But yes, you actually move yourself around the area; you don't click a button and appear at one place on the screen (if you're shown at all) for the entire scene.
