Yeah my budget each year is $8000, $5200 is spent on rent, so the rest goes on gas and food, im in a country with double US gas prices so i don't get much fuel for my money. But thats still cheaper than buses(in my city), and i have to travel to far to walk. I hope the fuel prices go up so more money is invested into making electric and hybrid cars better. For those interested the 2008 model Prius is supposed to have more power, be bigger, and be more economical. |

Yeah, but you live with your bro, and are pretty much the only one of us with working car. Well, you were anyway. Also, it was only a few years ago when I was paying about 50 cents a litre. It's skyrocketed ever since the war with iraq started, which was pretty pointless anyway. |

$1.60 a litre that is high it isn't even that high in Canberra. I live in a smaller town in the northern tablelands and the price is around $1.25-$1.33 depending on where you go. I take the bus in every morning since it is the only way in. I live 11kms out and as soon as I get out my gate there is a massive hill then it continues like that all the way into town. I wouldn't mind it so much if I had some way of getting momentum up on my bike before the hill and if the road was safer. Ok I've had my rant for the day. |

The gas is extremely expensive here. Since taxis use LPG instead of gas, they are relatively cheaper than driving, but they're still expensive. The buses are okay, but there is INSANE traffic and the buses are always crowded. The bus I take to school twice a week usually travels with people's bags stuck in doors, because there simply isn't any room inside to even close the door properly. In most of the city, the cars don't even move. There is a road I walk; and it's 20 minutes if I walk fast. Once I went in a taxi...for 45 minutes. Let alone the fact that I haven't ridden anything after a tricycle; the city is completely anti-bike. There's only room to ride a bike in the rich districts. Walking is usually hard, because the city's VERY hilly.(Not to mention there's no air to breathe.) Since public transportation SUCKS, EVERYONE keeps getting cars, then no one can move around. |

I'm filling up today. Take that, you boycott sheep! I have other errands to do and I'm going right past the cheapest gas station in town. By making fewer trips, I use less gas than if I had to make a special trip just to fill the tank. It's a far better idea than the stupid idiot that can up with this stupid boycott idea. The only thing that matters is if I save money on gas.

That's so weird Dumble...but that's exactly what I was thinking....it only matters if Dumble saves money on gas.

I would imagine it would matter only to the people that sell petrol.

I just got this in the mail today from a mailing list for jokes. Do you think a gallon of gas is expensive? Just put things a bit in perspective. Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19=>$9. 52 per gallon Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25=>$10.00 per gallon Gatorade 20 oz $1.59=>$10.17 per gallon Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29=>$10.32 per gallon Whiteout 7 oz $1.39=>$25.42 per gallon Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15=>$33.60 per gallon Scope 1.5 oz $0.99=>$84.48 per gallon Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85=>$123.20 per gallon Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35=>$178.13 per gallon And this is the REAL KICKER... Evian water 9 oz $1.49=>$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source. (Did I mention that Evian spelled backwards is Naive?) So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or heaven forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil! |

But if my car ran on Pepsi, I can get 2 liters for $0.99 (on sale). That's only $1.87 a gallon! |

Heh... Most Coke factories have to get new tiling every few years because of the little bit of soda that squirts out when the thing is bottled... it eats away at the tiles. Your car would start falling apart after a while of acid running through its pipes. So, sure, you could save some money on gas, but you'd have to buy a new car in a year and a half.

Oh be quiet Grash... I would love for my car to run on pepsi...since I already practically own stock in the darn company! I also heard that soda of any type makes your bones britte. And smoking causes cancer, alcohol ruins your liver, and sex makes you blind..or something bad I am sure. My vice is diet pepsi...I guess I will just have to get my stomach relined every year.

I can also get Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Mountain Dew for the same price. BTW: when I buy Gatorade I get it for $0.99 for 32 oz. Now if you want to power you car on something espensive, and edible, why not saffron ($62 an ounce) or beluga caviar ($150 oz.) ? |
