| The Golden Rule -Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. General Forum Rules -No cussing or profanity (mild terms are acceptable). -No spamming outside of the Spam Section. -No insulting / derogatory comments toward other members. -Posts must be On-Topic. -No pornographic / sexually explicit materials or language. -No graphic descriptions of gross or disturbing situations (to be determined at the Admins' discretion). -No double logins. -No "|_||33|2 - 1337" -No "1337 cApS" -No ALL CAPS (unless trying to emphasize something) -No Trolling -You will get one warning for a major rules violation. The second time, you will be banned, either temporarily or permenently (depending on various factors). Minor rules violations (i.e. nothing that really affects the thread) will get an admonition unless done intentionally and consistently. Pic Thread Rules -No more than two posts in a row without pics. -No exposed nipples or crotch area, or otherwise sexually explicit / pornographic images. -Nothing too gross or disturbing; a little shock value is fine, but nothing disturbing or otherwise "graphically intensive." -Feel free to flood them with pics ( )-Put pics in the appropriate thread. -Pic threads will be pinned when they reach over 100 posts. -Have fun! -Pic thread rules do not apply for avatars, see avatar rules farther down! Spam Section Rules - You may post as many times in a row that you want, but please don't abuse this too much. -No chained topics (This means you, Tomoyo ( )-All other forum rules apply, as usual. Topic Pinning Rules (for Admins / Mods) -No more than 5 topics may be pinned in any given immediate category (topics pinned in subcategories do not affect and are not affected by this). -Topics may be pinned if: -----The topic has at least 300 posts, provided that the topic itself does not comprise more than 1/4th of the total posts for that forum or subforum. -----The topic has been active in the last week (20 posts or more in the last 7 days, or roughly 3 posts/day). -----EXCEPTION: If the topic serves in some official or special Admin-designated capacity, (i.e. Forum Announcements, the Arriving / Leaving Thread, etc.) then it may be pinned w/o having to meet the above requirements. -Topics may be unpinned if: -----The topic does not meet any of the above requirements. -----The topic has not had any posts in the last week, or fewer than 20 posts in the last month. -----More than five topics in the immediate category (i.e. pinned topics in subcategories of the category do not count) have been pinned; in this case, the least active topic(s) will be unpinned until 5 pinned topics are reached, and new topics will not be added until a vacancy is created. -----EXCEPTION: Official topics (as above) may not be unpinned w/o special Admin approval and do not count towards the 5-topic limit. Avatar Rules -No images w/ exposed nipples, exposed crotch area, and/or otherwise sexually explicit / pornographic images. -No gross or excessively disturbing images. -Even if the image follows the letter of the law, the Admins reserve the right to request the change or removal of any avatar that appears to be "approaching the limits," as well as to remove w/o warning any avatar that is in outright violation of the rules. Advertisment Guidelines -You may advertise any site or forum in this section as long as it contains no inappropriate materials (to be determined at the Admins' discretion; no porn sites, etc.). -Please create a separate thread for each site w/ the site's name for the thread title. -Include the URL and a short description of the site's contents in your post. This will help us in determining which category the site fits into on our Master List of Links. -For advertising forums for the purpose of affiliation, you must have at least 30 posts. -For advertising any kind of site you must have at least 10 posts. Review Guidelines --First, the title of the thread should be the title of the thing you are reviewing. Fairly simple there. --Next, you'll want to write a fairly detailed review, with roughly one summarizing paragraph at the beginning and then a paragraph for any or all of the following categories: ----For games: Graphics, Storyline, Controls, Replayability ----For movies: Storyline, Special Effects, Realism ----Anything else: Whatever you feel is important about it (for instance, for books: Storyline, Realism, Grammar; you get the general idea). --(Please note that the above are only a general guideline for what you should include in a review; you don't have to have everything mentioned, and you can add extra categories that you feel are worth mentioning.) --Next, you should rate the reviewed item on an overall 1-10 point scale. You can also rate each individual category if you wish. --Finally, if you want to, you should include a small section as to what kinds of people you think would or would not like the object being reviewed. Rule of Fun --Above all, have fun! |
