Pink Floyd were the main inspiration for the band Disaster Area. One of Pink Floyd's songs is called "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun." On a part of the radio version, there is a segment where they survey the landscape and the atmospheric section to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is played. Sometimes on Pink Floyd live shows, they would crash a plane into the stage.

His biography is called "Wish You Were Here", also the name of a Pink Floyd song.

Pink Floyd are the second biggest band ever for live performances. Only the Rolling Stones beat them. The surviving members of the Rolling Stones think of themselves as the best rock band ever, even though they're a sixties band and there last hit was in the early eighties.

Pink Floyd were one of the few progressive rock bands to survive the emergence of punk rock. Prog tried to turn rock into an art form (unlike most rock, which takes inspiration from blues, prog takes inspiration from jazz and classical music), but punk was against that, as they wanted to keep rock simple.

Bought the DVD version of the movie today.

Have you played Hangman w/ Marvin yet? It's impossibly simple if you know the series (the first one I got was "fish," and I was able to guess it right away, before I had even watched the movie), but it's pretty fun.

Sky are showing the film on Sky Movies, and showing adverts about every ten minutes on Sky One. It looks rubbish.

Trust me, it isn't. But since you claim you have no sense of humour it might just be in your case.
