It's about a dying alien race who want to know how to be human so they can survive. They do this by building a city in space and populating it with humans. Every night, all the humans fall asleep and the aliens inject new memories and personalities into their minds, and reshape the city to fit. One human forgets everything he knew and woke up early. He then goes on to discover more about his "past life", which leads him to discover about the aliens, the human doctor that works for them creating memories, and his own psychic powers similar to what the aliens have.
