Ranks are a way of telling your position in any army. They are kept separate from levels, so a level 10 player might still be a lowly private if he does not do anything to increase his rank. You should try to get promoted as well, since some equipment is for officers only. To increase your rank you will need to talk to officers and rulers, and they will promote you if they deem you worthy. Your worthiness is based upon your reputation and how many medals of honour and/or how many city keys you posess. Here are the available ranks: Private: The lowest rank. Everybody starts at this rank. Corporal: The second lowest rank. Sergeant: The highest rank you can get without going to officer school. Lieutenant: You need to complete officer school to reach this rank. You are an officer, which means you can get certain officer-only equipment. Captain: A rank higher than lieutenant. Colonel: A rank higher than captain. General: The highest rank you can get. You have access to all equipment in the game (if you meet the level requirements, of course). You need to work hard to attain this rank though. Stocking up medals of honour and/or city keys is the best way. |
