I've been playing the PS1 version alot and i've almost gotten all the best equipment and stuff but i've yet to get the summon items needed to teach Rydia her secret summons. |

I liked the SNES one better than the PS1 version, but I liked the GBA one even better. The SNES was the original, the GBA was a better graphic one, and the PS1 wasn't a very good remake in my opinion. They should've added more FMVs rather than just the Opening and ending, but atleast it had better FMV graphics than FFV and FFVI. Atleast the chars actually LOOKED like their sprites, unlike FFV and FFVI. (Terra, Butz, Lenna, and Faris look really BAD!) |

The PSX versions of any of the older ones aren't really remakes though; they're ports. I just got the one for Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV for Solstice a few months ago, but I haven't started IV yet. I did, however, download the original SNES one years ago onto my computer, and enjoyed it a little before I stopped playing it. I haven't tried the GBA versions of any FF games yet except for V, which I really enjoy. |

I have that too, it's better then the translated Snes version. And the name changes seem to have been more of an improvement then an annoyance, like "Walse" sounds better then "Worus". |

Double posting you can sue me later. ![]() Okay so like I got the DS version of this game and omg it's wayy harder than any other version I've played. The monsters are meaner the bosses use different attack patterns, and making money in the beginning is insanely difficult. But they've added a lot of new features like augments, which allow you to teach any character various abilities and commands they otherwise wouldn't know. I taught Rydia and Rosa Twincast which normally only Palom and Porom could use, and Cecil has a counter augment, which is very useful in tough battles. In the scenes the characters have voice overs which aren't bad, oh and fat chocobo no longer holds extra items. But rather grants access to music player, movie viewer, bestiary and Whyt menu. Whyt is an Eidolon that can fight in Rydia's place for a limited time in battle, you can make it stronger by training it. You play several mini games in order to train it, Cecil's raises Strength, Kain's raises Stamina, Edge's raises Speed, Rosa's raises Spirit, and Rydia's raises Intellect. The abilities and commands Whyt can use depend on who's currently in your party, you can even customize it's appearance. You can also battle other peoples whyts with your own using the DS wireless feature. Be warned if you get into this game it's hard to put down. (I had to charge my DS twice within a few days because I played it so much even though I have my DS on the lowest brightness level.) If you like Final Fantasy games I strongly urge you to go out and get this one, trust me you'll love it as much as I do. ^.^ |

I got the DS version as well (my brother gave me his DS, yay yay yay! I just have to give him a GBA SP so he can get a DSi) and I didn't find it hard...at all. x.x It was really, really easy for me. I didn't use summons much in the game except for when I just felt like seeing what they could do, and there were only one or two bosses that gave me a little bit of trouble. By the way...what is it with RPGs and bunnies on the moon? Dark Cloud has moon bunnies too... |
