I've never been a big fan of MMORPG's and they almost ruined FF for me. I just hope for Square-Enix's sake that FFXI is the last MMOPRG FF game they'll ever make. Also Dirge of Cerebus is nothing more then a dumb shooter game like golden eye only worse.

And I don't think Dirge of Cerberus should count...it's too far from FF-styled games to be a Final Fantasy game...Dunno why they did that.

I think it's because since 7 is the most popular (apparently), they're trying to make as many spinoffs as they can, so as to draw in more people and get more money. Personally I'm getting tired of all of it, and I'm not the only one judging by people's responses to it on other forums I go to...Anyway, if they keep it up, I'm going to start boycotting any FFVII related (except for One-Winged Angel...love that song...) just because it bothers me so much.

I would agree mostly, but i wouldn't mind if they made a remake of FFVII for the PS3 with enhanced graphics and an in game bestairy and music player. After all remaking isn't as bad as trying to make spinoffs right?

Or something like that. They announced it at E3. Damn you Square...grrr...how about remaking older ones that don't get the attention they deserve? I'd like to see FFV and FFVI on the DS, just like they put IV on there. They just need to get off of this FFVII craze...it wasn't that good of a game. It was fun and the story was alright and the characters were...well, not as bad as some other games...the materia system was alright, and it was long. It was too easy but I guess a lot of people looked past that. So...what the hell sets it apart from other games? And to that most will answer "it was the first one on the Playstation! So that makes it awesome! ^.^" ....Since when did that ever make any game in any series soooo much better, just for that reason? -.-; Gah. Sorry 'bout that rant. Been irritated about this recently, especially after AB where there was a TON of FF7 merchandise in the dealer's hall, but barely anything for the others other than a few keychains from FF9. I just think 7 gets too much attention..especially since when I talk to people who have played all of the games in the series, usually their favorite isn't 7...it's one of the older ones that don't get attention, or 8 or 9, which were also on the PSX but are overlooked or entirely dismissed as 'bad games' because "7 came first". v.v
