A brief description of the skills (and the areas they affect): General Strength - Your character's personal strength. Affects your ability to lift, move, and carry objects. Also affects his ability to block attacks using a shield. Agility - Affects your character's speed, stealth, and dodging abilities. Intelligence - Affects your character's ability to solve abstract problems (such as complex math) and put together complex mechanisms and figure out how they work. An especially intelligent individual can try to invent his own gadgets (or even MacGuyver something from three random items he has in his pocket). Charm - Affects your character's personal charisma and leadership. Especially charming people will be able to convince other people to follow them (or swindle them out of cash, brainwash them into following a new religion, etc.). Willpower - May affect your character's ability to resist compulsions and break inhibitions. Can also be used as a "substitute" skill for defense against Psi attacks for those with no Psi abilities. Weapon Blade - Your ability to use weapons such as swords, axes, knives, spears, and other similar weapons. Blunt - Your ability to wield clubs, maces, and other blunt weapons. Includes most "improvised" or "random" weapons. Bow - Your skills with weapons such as bows, crossbows, etc. Gun - Your ability to use pistols, rifles, and other firearms at anything other than point-blank range. Hand - Your hand-to-hand (or appendage-to-appendage) skills. Includes boxing, martial arts, and any other sort of fighting "techniques" you can think of. Special Magic - Your ability to use elemental magic (such as Fire, Ice, Electric, or Wind skills). Includes being able to transform elements into other elements, though this is more difficult than simply using elemental attacks. Psi - Your ability to put your "brainpower" to good use. Includes telekinesis, mind control, projecting illusions, and other stuff of that nature. Tech - Your ability to understand and use electronic devices. |
