Anyone else here a Terry Pratchett / Discworld fan? Been reading a bit of his stuff lately, and I have to say it's very amusing :D

For those not in the know, Pratchett writes comedy fantasy, similar to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was for science fiction (except slightly less over-the-top... well, at least the later ones are). It originally started out as a straight-up parody of epic fantasy in general, but since then it's gone on to spoof detective stories, power politics, and a number of other genres and settings. The stories are actually quite good in their own right, too.

Don't worry too much about reading them in order; all of the books can be read as stand-alones, although some of them (the City Watch, the Lancre Witches (haven't actually read any of those yet...), and the Rincewind books) can be grouped together by recurring viewpoint characters.
