It seems many people are not quite sure what the Innate Color option in the profile field is all about. For those of you who are wondering what this means, fear not for I have the answers to your questions. Like the other profile fields this one is optional, and you don't have to use it if you do not wish to do so. Now then on to the explanation. Innate Colors are used in one of my all time favorite RPG's Chrono Cross, the colors represent the many different elemental forces found in nature. However in order to adapt this to people you have to factor in their personality, their mood, and their overall nature. Innate does NOT mean favorite however, so simply picking a color because it's your favorite doesn't mean it's your innate color. Also your zodiac sign can help determine your innate color if you don't match either White or Black. Innate Colors are like Yin and Yang, in the sense that each one has a color that is the opposite of it. Okay I'll list the colors followed by what Element(s) are represented by them, plus additional info where applicable. The reason why black has purple font and white has light blue font is due to the fact that white won't show up well on the default skin, just as black won't show up well on the optional skin. Primary Innate Colors Yellow Represents the forces of Earth/Lightning. Opposed to Green. Zodiac Signs Associated with Yellow are: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Red Represents the power of Fire/Rage. Opposed to Blue. Zodiac Signs Associated with Red are: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Green Represents the forces of Wind/Plants/Poison. Opposed to Yellow. Zodiac Signs Associated with Green are: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Blue Represents the power of Water/Ice. Opposed to Red. Zodiac Signs Associated with Blue are: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Black Represents Darkness/Evil, Death, Gravity, The Moon. Opposed to White. White Represents Light/Good, Life, Stars/Meteorites, The Sun. Opposed to Black. Mixed Innate Colors Orange This is Yellow and Red mixed together. Brown This is Red and Green mixed together. Purple This is Red and Blue mixed together. Pink This is Red and White mixed together. Teal This is Green and Blue mixed together. Indigo This is Blue and Black mixed together. Aqua This is Blue and White mixed together. Gray This is Black and White mixed together. I hope this sheds some light on what Innate colors are about, if anyone has any additional questions feel free to PM me and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability. | "Roses, Daisies, Tulips, and even Lilacs can be deadly to those who suffer from floral allergies. So beautiful to look at and smell but a weapon none the less, whether it be the thorns of the rose or the toxic pollen of a petunia; Flower power is just as mighty as any sword!" | |

Nice guide. ![]() What if none of the colours fit you? Can you "mix" colours? And if you can, how do you determine the resulting colour? I'm posting this here because I'm sure I'm not the only one who will ask about this, so it's better to have it in public. |

Thanks for the question. I guess you could mix colors together like for example Red and Blue make Purple. If only I was still Admin I could add mixed colors to the list......... EDIT: Some 'mixed' colors have been added I shall add them to the explanation as well. Edited by Marluxia, Sep 18 2008, 06:38 PM.

I guess I'm a light shade of purple then (red, blue and white), pink being closest. Heh. Not to mention the fact my zodiac sign isn't in any of those colours. I guess this makes more sense in your RPG to be honest. There's nothing wrong with that though.
