So I was thinking about taking the feat Knowledge Devotion from Complete Champion but that only gives me a bonus versus foes, while my class's Dark Knowledge ability only affects my allies and not me. Oh well.

Is there an Initiate of Oghma feat in Player's Guide to Faerun? I might have to check that out.

I checked around and there is no Initiate of Oghma feat in any of the books. You'll have to make one up.

So regarding the Leaves of Learning, I had said that they don't store a "word about magic". Well what I meant was arcane magic. They do contain volumes that discuss divine based magic. They also sell scrolls - though this is not their bread and butter. Essentially the way it works is per day spent using the library, one can gain a +10 circumstance bonus to any Knowledge check other than Arcana.

It turns out that there is a web enhancement for the Leaves of Learning that was put out just after the 3E Faiths and Pantheons book. I just read through it and it looks pretty cool. There are several NPCs described, one of which is a Harper agent - so that is going to work out great. Im going to email you the pdf of it.

So to we need to amend the whole "appendix" thing. I still see that existing, however as opposed to it being a big secret - its just a secret location. Only higher ups know of its existence though - though others know that more important tomes and volumes are stored in harder to find locations of the library. I also envision the tower of tomes to appear more like the library in the name of rose.

So as far as Lindrom's progression into prestige classes, I was planning on entering Harper Priest at level 6 and taking all 5 levels of that. After I finish my progression in Harper Priest I am going to go into the Divine Disciple (of Oghma) prestige class at 11th level. It's pretty awesome and it's also Father Danali's prestige class, which makes a little sense. Depending on how I feel about Harper Priest, I may enter Divine Disciple earlier, at 8th level.

I'm not sure what you have planned for my contact with the Harpers, whether I should keep it secret from the group, or if I'll be openly working for them. It'd be amusing to secretly go around doing good deeds (providing healing, etc.) for the Harpers while we're treasure hunting: "Lindrom bought the drinks again? For the whole party? Probably just an excuse to sneak out and romance that bar maid he was fancying..."

I wanted to remind you that you have made an ally in the old Druid of Kirinwood, not too far from Dawngleam (were you defeated the young shadow dragons). He would be a good source of magical training close to your home.

So you said you were going after some ranger and druid spells as the game progresses. Can you tell me their names, what levels these are and when you will need them?

So you said you were going after some ranger and druid spells as the game progresses. Can you tell me their names, what levels these are and when you will need them?

No.

:P

Druid Spells:
Produce Flame (1st)
Barkskin (2nd)
Splinterbolt (2nd)

Paladin Spells:
Strategic Charge (1st)
Warning Shout (1st)
Zeal (2nd)
Righteous Fury (3rd)
Holy Sword (4th)
Lawful Sword (4th)

Ranger Spells:
Guided Shot (1st)
Arrow Storm (3rd)
Arrowsplit (3rd)
Blade Storm (3rd)
Find the Gap (3rd)
Animal Growth (4th)
Bloodfreeze Arrow (4th)

According to the scheme I devised, I will be able to cast all of these spells by 7th level. Currently I can cast 3rd level cleric spells, 3rd level paladin spells and 3rd level ranger spells but so far 3rd level cleric spells are all I've had access to though leveling, since we've had no down time for my research or to buy scrolls, etc.

It looks like find the gap is also in Draconomicon and lawful sword is in Races of Faerun but arrow storm and blade storm only appear in Spell Compendium.

Hey Toast, are you aware of that feat that gives you a +5 on all knowledge checks to identify monsters? Do you have it?

I vaguely remember something about it. Which sourcebook is it from? I'm pretty sure it's specifically for identification only; my dark knowledge checks are different.
