If I make Crimson Fate Intelligent, I could get cure moderate wounds 3/ day as a special ability. Or, if it has a special purpose, 80,000 gets you +2 attacks, saves, and checks! alas, that is a lot of gold. I need to concentrate on scraping up 2000 just to get that first +1. Upon further review, if I end actually becoming a construct, the cure moderate would be a waste. |

So you sort of are in a predicament with your new PC. The ritual required to absorb the starmedal may prove impossible until the current adventure is over. I guess this a disadvantage of an exotic PC. Regardless you still level normally, but may not gain the class features until the ritual is complete. Is that fair? |

Cool. That is exactly how it is in the GSA entry. I get HD, BA, Saves, Skill Points, but no class features. I believe this includes spellcasting. I would have to check again, but I'm pretty sure. And I knew this was a possibility going in, so it's ok. |

as much as I whine about the GSA sometimes, no other class gives you DR 10/ Adamantine. And Lindrom will have a spell (Ike too if its a cleric spell, which I think it is) that boosts someones existing DR by 5. That's right, DR 15/ Adamantine. Pretty sweet. |

Nick, having Truesilver gone to the other side has made me consider a backup. I know will try to give the player a chance to retrieve their character from death, but there may be circumstances that would delay this for a game, or maybe two. Even as an interim, a backup can be useful. My number one idea is the cavalier, the identity of which i want to keep mysterious. I will give you a run down on thursday. The other is a straight-up fighter, plate, shield and morningstar. And the third is the Conjurer/ Alienist. This last one will probably be the most beneficial to the party, being a full arcane caster. The idea is that they will tap the good and beautiful aspects of the Far Realms. The Fighter will be the most effective character. The Cavalier will be a great character. That being said, I love Truesilver. If there is an opportunity to come back after death, I will always take it. |

Sounds like the makings of a restless spirit of some sort. Would the cavalier be mysterious because he'd have a secret identity or because you'd keep his abilities secret from everyone until you busted them out during combat? |

Stumbled apon this: Family coat of arms: TRUESILVER: shield of scarlet, with a slender purple border ("edge") all around. Upon further review, the +4 belt is too much. I will probably be going with the +2. 12,000 gold difference. I want more items that will help me survive and be more effective in more areas. For example, wands of spells that are on my spell list but I didn't choose, such as Dimension Hop. Or more likely, I will have an item made that will do it once a day. Nick, let me know if having custom items made is ok. I thought I got the impression that custom was ok, but I could be wrong. Having an item made that casts a spell once a day, and that has 50 charges is a very cost effective way to expand capability. And since Saubon is a Sunday Punch, one round/ encounter of Doom kind of guy, having it available once a day is ok. |
