High Warmage Cotrell Lord Cotrell is the grim, stern, protector of Arabel and the northern front. His name is well know and gets the typical shutter from most who know it. But his respect is well earned, this formidable mage has served loyally for ages, most famous for killing a huge black dragon in defense of the city some 10 years ago. Aerothorn Ravensblood The Raven Master is the resident druid of the northern Hullack and Thunder Peaks. While generally peaceful, he is rumored to process's a temper that rivals the storms the mountains are named for. Shamus the Wine Merchant An easy going and pleasant person to be around, Shamus seems to know just what to say. He is well known and liked, and is said to be the authority of rare and strange wines. Update(05/10): Its a small word. Shamus, apparently hired by Horus is full of surprises. A long way from the Dalelands, perhaps Shamus actually comes from somewhere else. After Horus ditches his party, he proves loyal to Ike and Co., and fights along side them. He keeps a cool attitude that keeps everyone at ease - and has defused many tense moments between the two parties. Update(09/10): Once again Shamus seems to be in the right place a the right time. This time on Lurath, a smuggling island in the Pirate Isles. Not to surprising, it turns our Shamus is in fact a pirate/smuggler, though he doesn't sail under any of the pirate lords currently. He manages to arrange a meeting at sea with the party and Voulgrom the Mighty, with the simple understanding that he can call upon the party for a favor of his own at some point in the future. Update(12/10): Shamus is back, this time in the booming Dawngleam. He has taken a full time position at Bradock's warehouse. Bradock's business has apparently benefited from this new acquisition. Learned Father Higher Atlar Hasicor Danali Learned Father Danali is the tall, grave high priest of Oghma who runs the Leaves of Learning temple in Highmoon. His severe, balding head and flapping black Robes of Many Sigils are seen only seldom in the streets, because he spends most of his time deep in the temple’s innermost chambers. Bolithio Redbeard This young and up coming sailor has recently gained the royal commission with the Blue Dragons in Dawngleam. He is usually accompanied by his first mate, Stockdale. Update(12/10): Bolithio finally got his commission aboard the Margaree. His mission, to patrol waters on the eastern boarder. Sap Redbeard The broad shouldered, thick necked man of 40 winters runs the eastern realm of Cormyr from his seat in Wheloon. He is a commanding person, and is seemingly hard to argue with. Update: Sap upon returning from Suzail was informed by Ike and Co. that the Temple of Mystra was a cover for some cult, and that they were sending dominate petitioners into the Vast Swamp. He has further requested that the party 'get to bottom of it'. Update(03/10): Upon the parties triumphant return, Sap is both grateful and respectful of the parties success. "I had a feeling about you guys!" He grants them full title to Chess Isle, and ensures a generous stipend from the Crown. Swzentil Iikon This thin wiry man has a reputation of smuggling and other shady affairs - however most of this is envy by nobles of such a successful commoner. He makes his home in Marsember and is known to travel with several body guards. He is also known to own land in various cities across southern Cormyr. Galobon Nor Mayor of Dawngleam, him and his wife Marion have lived in this post for five winters. Galoban hates the bureaucracy of his civic office, but lacks the ambition to question his family or do anything on his own. As result is is somewhat apathetic and delegates as much as possible. Tunaster Dranik The still itinerant priest of Mystra of some 60 winters, he is usually found sporting a long white beard, blue skull cap, and flowing blue and white garb of a follower of the Lady of Mysteries. After discovering a suspicious temple of Mystra is Wheloon, he recruited the help of "Ike and Company" to investigate while he traveled to the Tower of Mystery in Searloon. Update(03/10): TD has once again is returning to Sembia, this time with the Shadow Shard, a shadowy relic found on Dyspyr. He awaits the party at the Tower of Mystery. Horus Horus comes across as a easy going, almost scatter brained mage. A seeker of the Green Star, he has been in direct competition with Saubon Truesilver for many years. At first they worked together on a few adventures together, but starmetal has proved to be a rare resource, and when they realized it was likley that there was not enough for both of them, well the race was on. Update(05/10): Following the discovery of the ancient giant observatory, Horus managed to snag a large tablet made of starmetal and flee just as a angry eldrich giant attacked the two parties. Update(09/10): It was just a matter of time before Horus re-surfaced. This time, beaten and on deaths door, in shackles in the Cult of the Dragons flier; The Flying Cloud. While the party was very apprehensive over his presence, it soon became clear that Truesilver would need him to find the location of the expected meteor shower. Reluctantly they made a deal, and set off to find the starmetal. In a strange twist, another group was also present at the impact site, some shadowy entities who got the chunk of starmetal first. Using the power of the Orcal of Sumbar, the party was able to find their temporary lair and recover the Starmetal. They also found that the 'finders' of the starmetal where Shades, a race of humans descending from the empire of Nethril - who survived the cataclysm but spent the last 1000 years on the plane of shadow. This sighting confirms the rumor of their city Shade appearing over Faerun. Horus however proved true to his word. Truesilver did too, and after spiting the chunk of meteor, Horus planeshifts to an unknown destination. Persys A renowned rouge from the Dragon Coast, he is also known as a staunch pessimist, and has no tact when it comes to pointing out how fucked you are. He is tolerated mainly for his ability to find and disarm traps - though he carries a reputation of lastly as well. Update(05/10): Last seen in Westgate Slagg This grim quite warrior is covered in scars and tatoos - and generally seems pissed off at all times. He In battle he fights with an amazing tenacity. He is currently in the employ of Shamus. Update (05/10): No longer in the employ of Shamus, Slagg was last seen in Westgate. Daniel Pharadean Pharadean, the apothecary of Raven's Bluff, is more than he seems. In fact, he is a Tiefling mage who is under the tutelage of Math Mannaman, the long forgotten and long lived mage and former member of the Blur Shield Adventuring Company. He is always in disguise, appearing as a human maile about 30. He is easy going, and comes across as cautious and passive. Sebastian after having some time to size him up, cautioned the party that he was no amateur. Update (05/10): Pharadean was last seen engaging a shadowy astral dreadnought that was assailing Math's domain with a battalion of gythanki. Math Mannaman Who would have known that Math lives!? Apparently he fled the material plane centuries ago and has lived in status on the astral plane. Math is a aged human, looks to be at least over 60 winters. He wears classic wizards garb and generally doesn't think much of his appearance (think Einstein). His goals have grown more esoteric and alien to most prime world mages, and he even has learned much of divine magics, and raw magic itself. He has created a a pocket dimension within the astral plane as a base of operations. Update (05/10): The party had succeeded in attaining the Shield of Math only to find his domain under siege. Math quickly instructed to follow his familiar Koi, a more than meets the eye koi fish native to the plane of water. Koi led the party into a pond which eventually acted as a portal to the plane of water. The fate of Math, Koi, or Pharadean are unknown. Vurgrom "The Mighty" Vurgrom is a huge man with a beer pot belly. Still, he is known as a man with considerable strength and surprising quickness. Since becoming the self proclaimed "Pirate Lord" he has had inspirations of greatness. With the support of his lover Enoline - the cold maiden of pain - he now recognizes his true potential. Vurgrom The Mighty will rival the exploits of Immurk himself!!! etc.etc.etc... Update (05/10): Vurgrom agreed to meet the party where they tried to barter for the shield of the fallen Telgar. While not one to negotiate, his dark mistress advised him to charge the party with recovering the Wave Crown - currently in the possession of Wessalen Artuia of the Argosy. Update (09/10): Upon retrieving the Wave Crown from Wessalen, the party promptly traded it to Vurgrom for the shield of Telgar, AKA the Blue Shield of Jalor. Wessalen Artuia A Chessentan noble, he has devoted his service to Lathander the Morninglord. He is tall, lithe, and strong. He was on a secret mission for his church in the Pirate Isles, when he discovered a cult of the dragon plot to awaken a ancient dragon on the isle of Tan. When approached by the party he agreed to give them the Wave Crown if they aided in defeating the Cult. Update (09/10): Wesslan proved true to his word and even gave the party the crown prior to defeating the cult. He expressed his concern over aiding Vurgrom, though his interests where no longer in the Pirate Isles. He was last seen escorting the captured slave ship back to Chessenta. Three Sheets Kimbal The pirate of fame has more lore and legend spread across the realms than most known pirates. His exploits are so far reaching that most dont even believe he is a real person. (The Dread Pirate). Still, he is very real. He is especially known for his uncanny ability of getting away from near death and imprisonment - yet seems to always be lacking in the way of big pay offs. Found captured by the Cult of the Dragon, he now captains the parties new vessel The Flying Cloud. Update (09/10): Three-Sheets has thrown his lot in with the party, content to sit out the winter on Chess Isle. He put an offer to protect the isle for a reasonable price while the party is away. |
