In the next game i run, i am going to make all of the PCs take the same class. What classes would interest you guys? A few i thought would be good: Dragon Shaman. 5 of these guys together would be potent. Paladin. This could actually turn out to be hilariously fun. Warmage. Totally over the top. until you fight golems... Monk. The variation possible within the base class would allow for many different types. Ranger. This one sounds really fun. animal companion flanking party! Fighter. Good clean fun. Bard. Touring band. concerts festivals. Battle of the bands? And how! |

I don't know a lot about the Dragon Shaman and Warmage. I think a party of Fighters would be difficult since we'd have no magic abilities and the entire party could easily fail a single will save. The touring band idea sounds interesting but I don't know how well Bard's abilities would stack. I think the Monk idea sounds the most interesting. If you want to go for potency I think a party of Clerics would be virtually indestructible. |

yeah clerics would be too easy. if everyone worshipped the same god, it would be boring, and if everyone worshipped different gods, it would be impossible. it would lead directly to either complete domination by the party or immediate tpk. also, i want to use the pathfinder system. so much is better than 3.5. |

Clerics of different faiths could get along as long as their gods do. Clerics of the various gods of the elven or dwarven pantheons could be interesting for example. I think a party of Barbarians from the same tribe could be interesting as well. A party of Ninjas from the same clan could be awesome. Or you could really challenge yourself with a Dread Necromancer party

same class would be interesting. and we've never done it before. already did ninja. and i must disagree with you, phil. i think a party of clerics of all different gods would grind to a halt immediately. at least with our current players That said, barbarians or dread necromancers would be fun.I would be totally down to play the published adventures. playing one right now with steve. pretty cool. |

There are some gods that work very closely together and often require their clerics to do the same, the Triad in Forgotten Realms for example. A lot of issues are the same ones you could have with a group of paladins, although that does sound fun. You could also consider expanding the parameters a bit so a game involving a Thieves Guild could include Spellthieves and Urban Rangers, or a game about a barbarian tribe could include Shamans and Scouts. |

im saying if all of you guys were all clerics of pelor, you would descend immediately into argument for no or any reason. samurai would be cool. no thieves guild. not my kind of game. someone else can handle that game |

you would descend immediately into argument for no or any reason. Not sure if there is anything we can do to prevent this until me and bob stop playing. |
