2.00pm A cannon fires (I play Suriel, but he deserves to know too.) Silas creeps closer to the Cornucopia, finally able to see into it. There stands Suriel Raffolk, the most dangerous career of them all. There's no sign of anyone else. But they may be out of sight. ...Unfortunately, you roll terribly and make a noise. Suriel is alerted... does he see you? No, you manage to keep out of sight and he doesn't discover you... However, he holds his throwing knives ready as he stalks around, eyes darting everywhere. |

Silas sees a dangerous-looking guy alone at the cornucopia, and buries his face in his hands - as quietly as possible, of course! He looks around the cornucopia, hoping to catch sight of the whereabouts of some hand blades and camouflage equipment before making a move, therefore wasting as little time as possible. He remains hidden, watching the other tribute cautiously looking around. As soon as Silas sees his target, he waits a few seconds before running - hoping to catch the other tribute off guard and grab a few extra seconds of time for himself. |

While Suriel's being alone, he's moved all the supplies inside the horn, which he is stood in front of. The only way to get ther will be through force or providing a distraction. |

Silas sees this, and checks his bag to see if there is anything he could use as a distraction. He has his blanket, water, and nice food which he would like to keep, but the beef broth looked rather vile and he wasn't good enough at climbing to use his hammock very well. Neither of these seemed to be of use in the current situation, however. It didn't seem like the fire was enough of a distraction for this guy, but there was no way of Silas fighting this guy with much of a chance - honestly, the whole reason he wanted to get to the cornucopia was so he would have something to fight with! Silas wanted to hurry up a bit, as he didn't know if anyone else would be coming back here soon. His fire plan may even have caused a bit of backlash upon him if someone who hadn't been nearby decided to head this way. He thought about all of his supplies and, after deciding they truly were no use, he came up with a slightly mad idea. With the intent of simply distracting rather than entering a fight, Silas throws a snowball towards the cornucopia, attempting to add a slight curve so it would be harder to determine the source of the throw. This may not work, but even then, he may have a chance of getting this tribute away from the horn. The worst case scenario would require him leaving empty handed - not very rewarding, but neither was being killed. |

So, you may have figured out that every post now, I'll be rolling to see if Suriel notices. lol total fail roll. Anyway, you throw the snowball... first, let's test your aim.. it hits wherever you aimed it... so... Suriel flinches at the noise, turning around. He couldn't work out what direction it came from... Randomising which direction he goes... He was facing south, and seeing as you threw from the north, he couldn't see it anyway... He slowly moves east. He doesn't laev the central area, but if you're quick and quiet, you can sneak in now. |

Silas sneaks in, attempting to be both fast and smooth so he doesn't notice. He's as cautious as possible, and runs in, hoping to shove a camouflage set into the side pocket of his bag, which would be very handy, and a pair of hand blades to carry around whenever there was a possibility of a fight. They were his ideal weapon: not very heavy, one for each hand, and if the case required it, they could be thrown. They sacrificed defense for speed, but could possibly block a smaller weapon at times. |

Sneak roll. Suriel hears something... can he figure out the direction...? Yes. I'm being extra nice here... Does he actually spot you in the dark of the horn? No. Jesus, you needed three rolls to avoid being seen. But, he's now looking in your direction... Don't move. |

Silas tries to breathe as quietly as possible. Although he doesn't know it, the guy is repeatedly making direct eye contact with Silas. He holds his blades at the ready incase he is noticed. |

2.30pm Unfortunately for you, Suriel's good at spotting things. His eyes widen briefly as he spots you, before quickly sending the knife in his hands towards you.. It whizzes past your head and buries itself in the snow. Edited by Computerfan, Jun 4 2012, 04:26 PM.

Silas lets out a shriek as the knife whizzes past him. His first thought was to kill this guy with his new weapon, but he'd had no practice and the guy was sure to be in some sort of alliance with one or more of the careers. He shot off, glancing around quickly to see whether there were any figures down below in any direction from the cornucopia. |

Silas looked around as he was running and saw figures in each direction. South had more than he would've liked, so he couldn't carry on straight... There was one person in the north-western area - could that be Liv or someone else? Either way, Silas didn't want to go back that way if there was a chance of him having to form an alliance with the Liv girl again... So that left the eastern direction, where two figures could be seen alone. Silas decided to head east and started to run as fast as he could, running in an awkward fashion to try and make it harder for someone to aim at him. |

3.00pm Not before Suriel attacks again. The knife is dead on, and you see it flying towards you. You manage a full block, using your backpack I presume. Well done. With that, you escape east. Suriel goes to follow you, before deciding against it and instead reclaims his knives, continuing his guard of the cornucopia. Anyway, you got that camouflage set at least, so it's something. I'll move you to the east snowcap next turn. And also, Silas, your stomach's starting to rumble. Edited by Computerfan, Jun 9 2012, 05:01 PM.

"Yeah, run you coward!" Suriel snapped, cursing as he gathered his knives back up. He then returned to the horn, rummaging around until he found a rather nice looking sandwich, munching on it as he looked around again. There was one girl heading north-west, another girl from the south-west heading for the mountain... He could see what looked like his fellow careers fighting with another tribute. There were three tributes to the east, also. HE couldn't help but regularly check on his allies as he continued to keep guard. |

Running as fast as he could, Silas saw another knife hurling towards him. He jumped and did an awkward sort of spin, causing the knife to hit his backpack and fly off towards the floor. He kept going and managed to lose the other guy's trail soon enough. Silas smiled, examining his new weaponry and camouflage set. He felt relieved now that he'd managed to sort out the equipment he needed in only the first day. He also decided to eat from his 3 day food supply as he was first starting to feel the effects of not eating. The supply was enough to keep him going for now, thank goodness, and in case of emergency he had the beef broth. Silas tried to memorise all of the things he currently had with him. The hand blades - his weapon of choice, beef broth, Some filled water bottles, a food supply until the end of the third day, the camouflage set, a blanket, and a hammock. These all seemed pretty useful now, but possibly with the exception of the hammock as Silas was a terrible climber - especially with trees. He couldn't help but feel proud of himself.
