Viewing Single Post From: John Carter from Mars getting a movie

Balcony Gang, Foist Class Posts: 61 Group: Members Member #313 Joined: December 9, 2007	I came across this while surfing around but a film version of Edgar Rice Burroughs' space hero is now being directed by Andrew Stanton, who directed Wall-E and is being written by Michael Chabon, who wrote the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. While I would love to see John Carter leap to the big screen I'm a little worried about the talent. Wall-E was great, but Stanton hasn't directed a live action film before ( I assume it's live action. There wasn't any info it was being animated.) Also while I liked Chabon's earlier work, I found Kavalier uneven and his latest work as a novelist dreadful, plus the fact that his screenwriting credits only consist of Spider-Man 2 and the unmade Kavalier movie. Any thoughts on this or who you would like to see bring this project to life.
