I am trying to think if I have a "guilty pleasure" Bond movie and I can't think of one. I know some people take a dim view, though, of Diamonds are Forever, which I think is one of the best ones. I don't like Thunderball very much, which I guess is the reverse of a "guilty pleasure", right? What I DID think of was a terrible, laughless 007 parody film called Spy Hard, which starred Leslie Nielsen in his "The joke of me being a comic actor when I was always a dramatic actor has long since fallen flat" phase. What WAS funny were the opening credits - an hilarious parody of James Bond opening credits, performed by Weird Al Yankovic. Rent the movie, watch the opening, then turn it off. |
