I gotta agree with Frank. I liked Rules, but I can see how some people wouldn't, probably because of the character-study aspects of the film. Laughing Gravy See, my feeling on Rules of the Game are that the people who would "hate" it are the hoity-toities of the world. When I consider that the film is a mock of the Bourgeoisie (although Renoir denies it), I could see how the "hoity-toities of the world" would hate it.
