Charter Member Posts: 5,570 Group: Members Member #17 Joined: September 4, 2005	Having not read any of the source novels, I can't speak to the rating that would be required to bring JCFM to the big screen. I am assuming some space battles and other violence, and I seem to recall the use of swords from the covers of the Marvel Comics adaptation series that I have seen, so I think you would at least need a 14A rating. I have seen PG movies with sword fights and they come off as less than convincing. I'm not bloodthirsty, but seeing someone impale someone else with a sword, then pull the sword out of the guys body and not a speck of blood, well it kind of takes you out of the movie. Reminds me of the lame sword fights on that Xena show from a decade ago. I don't think an "R" rating would be a requirement, though.
