Saturday:

,) One Fine Day -- The Chiffons -- Say what you like about the Ronettes, this was the best girl group by far, and this song ROCKS!
.) Windy City Blues -- The Marshall Tucker Band -- hot lead guitar from Southern rockers who always seemed to do the same song. One cut's OK, but glad I never saw 'em live.
.) Toada -- Edu Lobo -- beautiful after midnight tune, as softly Brazilian as it gets.
.) I Wonder Why -- Dion and the Belmonts -- Perfection. Everybody has great pitch, it's got a hellacious beat, plus it's fun to hear a bunch of guineras sing "WOP WOP WOP WOP."
.) Take Me Back to Tulsa -- Asleep At the Wheel -- Their defining cut. Love it when Ray says, of a hot guitar solo, "That sounds like me. It IS me."
.) My Name Is Ticklish Reuben -- Smyth County Ramblers -- fiddle tune with 2 part harmony vocals from the splendid Music From the Lost Provinces album.
.) Baby It's Cold Outside -- Pearl Bailey and Hot Lips Page -- these two always struck sparks off each other on the air, and I'm glad there's at least this one record of them.
