This was done the first time in the movie Becky Sharp (1935). What is it?

panzer is correct again with the answer: American-International Pictures

The following is the first line of a movie. What is the movie? Who said it?
And, what is the last line of the movie and the character that said it?

"With the coming of the Second World War, many eyes in imprisoned Europe turned hopefully, or desperately, towards the freedom of the Americas."

Y'know, Kan, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

L.G. Ya didn't tell me the title of the movie or who said the opening line. If you want complete credit you will have to answer all parts of the question.

Maybe we can talk about it at Rick's.

The movie is Casablanca. The announcer said the first line as a voice-over. The last line is "Ya'know Louie, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship." and it spoken by Rick.

In the comic strip "Blondie," identify the two kids, the dog, Dagwood's father, and Blondie's maiden name

3-colour Technicolor! - there were also sequences in 'La Cucuracha'

'Becky Sharp' starred Miriam Hopkins who also starred in Russ Meyer's 'Fanny Hill' (1964) with Leticia Roman as Fanny!

Alexander - the son

Cookie - the daughter

Daisy - the dog

J. Bolling Bumstead - the father

Boopadoop - the maiden name

I have always been a fan of BLONDIE and I still read it regularly. I have particularly enjoyed the recent 75th Anniversary celebration; which included crossover mentions and invitations to the Bumstead's anniversary party in many of the other daily comic strips. A real nice touch.

Maybe there's somebody out there who doesn't know that the Bumsteads were fabulously wealthy and Dagwood got disinherited for daring to marry a mere Boopadoop. Makes it even more ironic that nowadays Blondie makes as much in her own business as Dagwood makes at the Dithers -- what? Factory? Office? Anybody have any idea what Dagwood actually does? We all know it has something to do with contracts, but contracts for what?

We all know that James West and Ardimus Gordon were partners for the Secret Service in the TV show The Wild, Wild West. Do you know what their first assignment was as a team?

No, but, IIRC, the first ep was called 'The Wild West' - Orson Welles' favourite series, he said once!
