Batman, I think you and I have a lot in common-- not only is the '43Wilson my favorite serial, it's my favorite take on Batman (and the '49 is so bad Ed Wood laughed at it).

Good to be among friends!
Andy

I think we will get along fine, Andy my man. Just keep an eye on Grey Pilgrim :ph43r: that guy is trouble.

As bad as the Jessica Lange version was, nothing in the movies is more exciting than Kong breaking through the gate!

Yeah, I agree, Wrang. That movie has other high spots as well. Trouble was the director and most of the cast were, um, lost in space you might say.

King Kong is s'posed to be a monster movie. Having Jessica Lange or Naomi Watts act as if they weren't very frightened of a 60-foot amorous gorilla were fatal flaws (amongst many others) that neither remake could overcome in attempts to match the thrills of the original.

King Kong (1933) is simply my all time, #1 favorite movie. I'm 63 and my childhood buddy Mitch is 59 and we've always loved King Kong (and Tarzan). So there I was parking cars for my local Lions Club at the county fair last September and Mitch is driving an 18 wheeler past the fair grounds and sees me. He rolls down his window and yells, "KONG RULES!" and blasts his air horns.
Man it's great not to have totally grown up!
