Their next set is up for pre-order already, too!

Except they don't quite have it together yet. Perhaps they will soon. Take it from me folks, it's hard to get this stuff right, but the people who care eventually do.

I have found every single Thunderbean DVD and BD to be far, far more valuable than the cost.

I'd be hard pressed to come up with anyone who cares more than Steve and his team. They're not exactly making a fortune on these releases, which are geared toward an especially small niche market.

Oh absolutely. I was just talking about the website. Thunderbean is the greatest. A near-perfect print, captioned, of Rough On Rats, the best cartoon I know? Steve rules.

Heard from Steve today; he said Cubby Bear is ready to go and they're just finalizing the bonus disc that goes out with it to pre-orders, and Flip the Frog is nearly finished.

I heard from Steve at Thunderbean on Christmas eve; they didn't get the Yuletime Cartoons discs mailed out in time for Christmas, but he says they'll be delivered this week. I'm not happy.

Got and viewed the DVD yesterday (the BluRay arrived a few days earlier with an apologetic insert). Not a world-beater, but nice collection of stuff with better than usual prints of the more familiar items.

Thunderbean is now taking orders for those 1940s-50s Screen Songs on BD. Personally, while they're not so good (the Fleischer ones of the '30s were marvelous) but I'm so sick of lookin' at 'em on lousy PD prints that I'm jumpin' at this. Besides, we all sing along!

New pre-order from Thunderbean: The Van Beuren Rainbow Parade collection. I've already ordered it.

It's a two-BD set, with 30 cartoons.

Received a Thunderbean Blu-ray this weekend, The Complete Little King. Watched one cartoon. Nice print. I never liked the Little King cartoons, but what th' heck. The "bonus" is - get this - a whole slew of early Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, including a bunch of Scrappys and a simply gorgeous print of Jungle Jitters, one of the Censored 11.

Wow . . . those bonus toons are surprising. Could of been many worse ones.
