Monogram Week Special: Save $5 on Rare Adventure Classic!

Our friends at Looser than Loose Publications are offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to obtain a rare Monogram feature on DVD at a special Monogram Week discount!

Klondike (1932) is a sweeping story of love and adventure set in the Great White North, with a stellar cast of favorites including Thelma Todd, Lyle Talbot, Henry B. Walthall, Jason Robards, Priscilla Dean, George "Gabby" Hayes, Captain Frank Hawks, and Lafe McKee! Directed by Monogram's ace director, Phil Rosen, the man who gave us such beloved classics as The Sphinx (1933), Phantom of Chinatown (1940), Spooks Run Wild (1941), and Charlie Chan in the Secret Service (1944). The regular price of the DVD (which contains a bonus Thelma Todd photo gallery) is $19.99, but for all orders through PayPal during Monogram Week, or for checks/money orders postmarked during Monogram Week, the cost is only $14.99 plus shipping -- you save $5!

At www.inthebalcony.com, you'll find frame grabs from this wonderful early Monogram feature. For more shots, additional information on Klondike, or for instructions on placing your order, go to www.looserthanloose.comand click on their Products Catalog. Remember, this price is only good during MONOGRAM WEEK (Feb. 11-18, 2006).

I urge all Balconeers to take advantage of this outstanding offer... we'd like to obtain additional discounts in the future for Balcony regulars, and the best way to do that is to show what good customers we are.

Tell 'em you heard about it through In The Balcony, and enjoy the movie, folks!

I just stopped over there and actually what really caught my eye was the silent film "The Cohens and Kelly's in Atlantic City" the third of seven films about them. to the best of my knowledge the only other one in existance is "The Cohen's and Kelly's in trouble (1933)

George Sidney was also in a 1932 film "Heart of New York" about a Jewish Inventor and his zany family, the film is also one of the few on screen appearances of the comedy team Smith and Dale.

oh yeah and before I forget, the screen caps of Klondike look very nice I plan on picking that one up.
