It's Keira Knightley and her movie The Duchess for me this week!

I'd rather get pink eye.

It'd look smashing with your black cowl.

And that Hancock movie that was so disliked - I loved it. Will Smith is fantastic!

Glad you were entertained ML, but I thought that HANCOCK was awful and it was one of Will Smith's weakest performances.

Charlize Theron is rather hot! I Am Legend was an excellent movie, and I'm gonna have to pop it on my shelf on Blu Ray in the next two years.

I agree, she's a pretty lady, but it doesn't excuse a bad film.

It's funny that I never bothered seeing Hancock...because Hancock is the name of the county I live in...anyway, I've bought 2 DVDs this month:

Pinocchio: 70th Anniversary Platinum Edition
The Three Stooges Collection, Volume 5

Received from Amazon Pirates of Silicon Valley and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman. Both the nephews liked the Batman film. So that's two young and one young at heart who liked it.

With the dollar finally up a bit again, I picked up some stuff from the UK: a collection of Fox westerns from the '40s and '50s (most of which don't seem to be available here in the USA), "The Man Who Could Work Miracles", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", and Orson Welles' "Macbeth". This last item is one of my perverse pleasures. "Macbeth" has always been one of my favorite Shakespeare plays but the Welles' version, with all the actors speaking in (often phony) Scots accents, is more than a bit over the top. This is the restored version, without the cuts that were made for the original American distribution.

I watched "Western Union" with Robert Young and Randolph Scott from the westerns box last night. Pretty decent film, directed by Fritz Lang. Lang's other western effort is also in the box.

I will still never get totally used to speed-up we get with films on British video being displayed at 25 frames per second instead of 24 because of their 50hz electrical system that dictates this. Everyone's voice is a bit higher than it ought to be.
TANSTAAFL!

Just like The Duchess, I have picked up another historical drama called The Other Boleyn Girl. Looks interesting, and Natalie Portman stars in it too! A last minute addition has been made - Street Kings.

I guess that would be Rancho Notorious. I saw it for the 1st time a month or two back on cable. Decent film.
