The Incredible Shrinking Man arrived yesterday. Have you met anyone who didn't like this film? Did you ask them what the hell was wrong with them?

Well, Stony, it's one of MY top ten fave films, that's for sure.

I got The Atomic City (1952).

It's a fave film for a lot of folks, and that was the point of my post. Anyone I've ever asked about the film loved it, or had similar such kudos. I've never met anyone who saw the film and thought it was just OK, or so-so.

I dunno about anybody else, but I love all movies where somebody is too big or too small, and TISM just happens to be the most perfect one of 'em all. There simply ain't anything to bitch about, and in addition, the ending is cool.

... the ending is cool.
It makes for good conversation, for sure.

Exorcist II, the one with Richard Burton is on my list of 10 worst "big budget" movies of all time.

But it is one of the fun bad movies -- absolutely terrible, but with fine unintended laughs.

I just picked up Predators and all three North and South boxsets.

As for the Exorcist films, the first one is the only one worth watching. After seeing the second and third and then putting on Dominion, I turned it off after an hour. I could have fell asleep. No good, I would advise people to avoid them. If you want good supernatural scares, try all the Omen films, they are miles and miles better. Plus, you have Lee Remick! ;)
