Just picked up Penance and Irresistable. I just love Emily Blunt! Also had a little situation with buying Gaslight (1944). It should now be retified. Phew! |

I picked up seasons 1 and 2 of Warehouse 13, a Syfy channel comedy-drama series. Two Secret Service agents are reassigned to Warehouse 13, a secret government storage facility for supernatural or paranormal "artifacts". Their job: to retrieve missing artifacts, and investigate discoveries of new ones. Kind of a cross between the X-Files and Raiders of the Lost Ark. |

I received seasons 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 of Eureka, another Syfy channel comedy-drama series. Eureka is a secret town in Oregon, mainly composed of geniuses and scientists, overseen by the Department of Defense. The scientific and technological breakthroughs developed in this think tank occasionally go wrong, and sheriff Jack Carter (an ordinary guy) helps the scientists resolve the situations with common sense. I like the show, but I hate these half season releases... |

Received 4 DVDs from Warner Archive. Back From Eternity. I'd much rather have the original Five Came Back. But even if I had the original I'd still want this remake in my collection. Flood. I'm a sucker for pretty much any disaster flick especially an Irwin Allen film. Mayday at 40,000 Feet! Did I mention I'm a sucker for pretty much any disaster flick? Journey to the Center of the Earth. Specifically the 1993 made for TV version. I have a fairly large collection of Journey to the Center of the Earth films. But for some reason I still haven't gotten the 1959 classic. |

I just picked up Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Considering its bad reviews, I'm sure I'll be fine. Tom Cruise is one of my favourite actors, even though Knight and Day seemed strange to me. |

The '59 "Journey" is worth having around. It's actually competitive with Disney's "20,000 Leagues" as the best Jules Verne movie. |

What an oddly-named set. Loretta Young as a femme fatale? I don't think so! |

I thought she looked very nice in Along Came Jones with those nice, big eyes!

You have to see her in A Man's Castle, Movielover. She was 18 and radiant. She kept her looks longer than many actresses and had a big success with an anthology TV show in the Fifties. |

Just viewed the Disney Movie Club disc of "The Magnificent Rebel," a purified but engaging life of Beethoven. Yes, the history is whimsical. But it's shot on location, production values are high, and the cast is solid. The storytelling is simple but very effective. Even the concert segments are easy to take. It's old school Sunday-night Disney. Surprised -- in a very good way -- that it was in the original two-part World of Color form, with Uncle Walt introducing each half. Immediately sent them an email encouraging more of the same. Just as I want my movies in original theatrical form, I prefer my TV productions as first aired. "Rebel" was a bit thin to hold up as a movie, but worked very well as two almost freestanding stories. |

I've just had a quick look on YouTube considering loads of movies aren't avaliable on Region 2 discs and found it. She does look radiant. |

You know, you don't have to limit yourself to Region 2 discs. A trip to the Internet can help you hack your player to all-Region. I did it. |

I've already got three American discs - Bhowani Junction, Princess O'Rourke and At Swords Point. Overall, for some Brits they can be a little expensive. |

I didn't realize that dollars were expensive again -- my apologies. |
