Just picked up a cheap used copy of the complete Ma and Pa Kettle. To think somebody had that and let it go . . .

There's something about Universal Bs that demands collecting. Monsters, Sherlock Holmes and Abbott & Costello are gateway drugs.

Then come tempting multimovie packages like the Inner Sanctum Mysteries . . . Golden Age of Pirates . . . Don Knotts . . .

Woody Woodpecker cartoons . . .

On-demand items like "Cobra Woman" and "Black Shield of Falworth" . . .

Then one day a cute cashier is looking at your $1.95 "Munsters Go Home" with a mix of pity and contempt. And you feel no shame.

To fulfill a request from the FNFkateers, I picked up Silent Running. The Wild Bill Elliott cop movies came in, too.

When you watch one, please post. I'm kinda intrigued -- liked his westerns when I was a kid because he had such a coplike face.

Have The Jungle Book and Newhart: Season 2 on their way. Have scheduled a Wild Bill Elliott film for a March FNF.

Earlier, I picked up the Client List series and Nothing But the Truth, what looks like an excellent thriller starring Kate Beckinsale.

Kenneth's new Blu-Ray of INTOLERANCE is on the way. The old Image one that David did has more footage, but The Mother and the Law and The Fall of Babylon were deciding factors. Saw both at MOMA back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and they were fascinating.

Picked up INTOLERANCE last month, Mr P, and loved it. Great looking print, too.

I got the new Criterion Foreign Correspondent, plus dirt-cheap copies of The Down That Dreaded Sundown (with a bonus film called The Evictors; never heard of it) and a double feature of Ship of Fools with Vivien Leigh and an international cast, and Lilith with Warren Beatty and Jean Seberg. All on Blu.

Earlier I picked up Fairly Legal Series One on Region One. Hopefully it'll work on my machine, like the other three I got, which were largely recorded - made to order titles. If not, I'll have to buy a multi-region player! ;)
